Good Morning. Its Tuesday 17th December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds eyeing up Ayew deal Sources from Ghana are claiming that Leeds are set to splash out on French born Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew. Formerly of West Ham, Ayew joined Swansea on deadline day in the 2018 January transfer window for 20m. He has netted 7 times this season from 20 appearances. He is 30yo (today) and is 5ft 7 inches tall. Is Ayew the answer to our poor conversion rate? Where does this put Nketiah? This question was put to former White Danny Mills, who replied as follows:- “If Nketiah goes, you’re a little bit light up front and goals are the most important things as they win you football games “If Leeds can get a back-up striker, assuming Nketiah goes, which I think he will, they need someone to put the pressure on Bamford, just to change it up…that would be absolutely vital. “There will be lots of players out there, let’s be honest, Bielsa’s scouting network is probably the best on the planet as he knows every detail of every player. “He’s probably watched more football in the last week then I have all season. We know how intense he is,so if there’s anyone out there who can fit in his model, he’ll know about them.” please log in to view this image Bolton Wanderers U23's 1 Leeds Utd U23's 5 Carlos Corberan chose his strongest XI to play Bolton Wanderers yesterday evening at the Lancashire FA County ground, and wasn't disappointed as his young starlets ran riot over their Lancashire opponents. Goals from Alioski, Clarke, Gotts and a brace from Nketiah completed the rout. Carlos Corberan's lads have now won five straight games in a row, and have risen to fourth in the table, two points behind leaders Burnley with a game in hand for the Whites. Second place Nottingham Forest have two games in hand over Burnley, and are only a point behind. Leeds travel to the City ground on Friday lunchtime for what promises to be an exciting encounter.
Morning all.. watching those clips, has Clarke put a bit of beef on and has he lost a bit of pace? I’m guessing we’ll be linked with at least half a dozen strikers between now and the window opening
If Bielsa brings in a striker, we shall not know who till it’s a done deal, he learnt a lesson with young James from Swansea a year ago, that won’t happen again.
Morning all. Not interested in what Clarke does unless it’s for the first team and that’s not too likely. So we’re being linked with a 5ft 7” monster. Exactly what we need. A lad to head in crosses delivered at knee height
Apparently Ayew wants to play in the premiership again and he can't see that happening if he stays at Swansea or anywhere in Wales so he is looking to move but is he good enough for Leeds, I'm not sure and even if he is can we trust those people to be honourable, after all they are Welsh, or perhaps worse still American.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull cold Bardsey Not to good yesterday so Moe called the doc worried I was catching pneumonia so I am now on anti bugs Ayhew is too old and wants to much money and what price will they ask remember they are not people of their word so lets forget it Leeds must know now whether Eddie is going back and from what I read he was playing to go back
it’s ok sparky, it doesn’t make you any less of a man. honestly it’s ok don’t worry about it I’m sure you heard that a lot down the years... but maybe it just sounded like ‘baa’
... Right about the yesterday’s though. married with two kids - you don’t get much chance to keep your swordsmanship up to scratch. I don’t know if I was ever in the premiership, but if I get an opportunity these days it’s Sunday league now. No tippy-tappy build up... just Route 1. i’m sure mrs milky would happily sub me at half time for younger fitter replacement
Couple of weeks ago Arsenal said they had no plans to recall Nikita, but, things may have changed since then.
