He was in the last year of his contract and then some fool decided to agree to half his salary then spread it over two seasons. It's the same cost to the club, just means dealing with the contract a bit harder if he decides to play hardball

It was a good decision at the time mate. As usual for us it’s bit us on the arse but at the time it was a very savvy looking move, nobody to blame for the failings but the player.

Yeah I don't think you could blame anyone for that. Last season he was our standout player by a mile, this one he's been about as much use as Flanagan. Tough to predict.

McGeady is quite easily the most talented player we have in the squad by a country mile. Possibly even the league. Ross had him playing like it last year, and though his form had dropped this year it's clear Parky can't manage him. Another **** up for me.
What makes a good manager these days is somebody who can deal with the prima donnas that footballers have become. If you cannot get the talent playing well for you and the team, you are in the wrong job... I went on specifically to correct him claiming I was banned for making homophobic comments which is totally untrue ... ... I was instantly targeted by Pancho, who claims he doesn't have a grudge, and banned despite being perfectly polite and reasonable. I've made many more decent threads than both of them put together, but they obviously want the board as their own little club, and in the meantime the place just goes further and further down the pan.
