yes that is what has been encouraging, they have been great chances.

Just think of the points dropped because we can not take one of these chances in this and several games this season. We are talking one goal not several in a few games now that would have boosted our points total so very significantly.

Plenty to build on from the way we played. If only we could take our chances.

 

It’s a draw on another day. Just need that finishing!

 

That was an immense performance by us, probably the best this season. Put our bodies on the line.
Liverpool were not comfy a lot of the time and could have lost had we taken some superb chances.
If we play like this from now on then we will start beating teams, if we can score.

Very strong showing but again we fail to finish chances and get punished for it.

This will be our downfall unless we can get a striker in January or Pedro comes up with the goods.

Positive start for Pearson - looked well organised in general and certainly committed.

Hughes was very good and the defence did a decent job given who they were up against. ​

 

Strange to say but if we were scoring like we were last season this would have been Liverpools first home defeat
Defence looked good despite the absence of all our left side defenders
