Nah .., Jordy took out the whiny turd with the haircut just on full time, assisting the additional minute from which we scored.
KLP was only on the pitch for 20 minutes and managed to score the equaliser. Keith Edwards must have been very average in your eyes.
Not quite sure you understand the point, and he was actually on for half an hour. I think it's fantastic he was involved in the equaliser and it was great determination from him, but if that had been Eaves I'm not quite sure people would be so eager to put him as one of their MOTMs as he was quite ineffective during the game. Contrast that with Eaves against Leeds who was my MOTM who didn't score. Had Bowen scored in that game I probably still would have given MOTM to Eaves, but does scoring automatically make someone a better player for the match?
That's not really relevant when a MOTM award is generally based on their performance in that game is it?
Is that really the stats? Wow! As you say, not good enough .... by a long way. It's not as if his hold up play is great and he's battering CHs and setting up others. He isnt, bar one 'ok' 2nd half in game before last. I dont get it. Was it 21 goals in a year or season only one division down. But for us he looks like he's come up from non league and is trying to, and we are all willing him to, develop into a decent CF. A bit like Big Billy's journey with us. But he isnt from non league and he isnt a kid either. I dont get what he's suppossed to be either. He's a big bloke but gets bullied. He has no pace. He's really slow on the ball (thinking, making a pass, getting a shot off etc). I really hope he turns into a legend for us but I'm just saying how i see it. As said, its not a young kid coming up from non league. He's a nice and funny bloke apparently and people want him to do well. Great, lovely. But first and foremost I want him to be a more than decent CF, scoring goals, creating mayhem up front with his presence, vision, pace and or trickery, setting others up. At the moment it's more like a slow moving, slow thinking lump who is a nice guy that we all hope will come good. Just saying it as I honestly see it. For me, Maggenis cant get back soon enough, but hopefully they don't take big risks with him. Then maybe Eaves can have more time to develop and find his game now he's with us. Tin hat ....
Eaves has only had 22 appearances, and 9 of those were as sub. The main reason I want Eaves to do well is because he plays for Hull City. This all-consuming desire to slag off and write off one of our current players has always baffled me.
One of which shouldn't really count as his. The comparison was merely to say if he'd scored the goal that KLP did he wouldn't be lauded as MOTM, the point being that MOTM should bring more than just popping up for a goal.
Everyone wants him to do well, but he’s not and you can’t expect that not to be discussed on a Hull City message board.
