Stats back that up. They were saying last night before the game we were the best counterattacking team in the the division with the most goals from counterattacks.

Was round the old town last night so missed the game, I kept looking at phone and yes Harry potter to the rescue, any point away from home is good but from what I'm reading we haven't played that well. We seem to have an habit of this against some of the poorer sides however none are easy. Three games in a week including trip up to London. The only thing that p------ me off i ordered a taxi for 1am, didn't come so ended getting one at 2.45. So it looks like city and the taxi firm had an off night but got there in the end.

Feel people are being a bit too negative about last night. Admittedly the first half was really dire but credit to McCann for changing it and having the courage to play the last 30 minutes with 5 forwards (cant think of any other recent manager who would have intervened so decisively) and to the players for keeping going when Charlton were wasting so much time aided by a very weak ref. Seems to me this division has two consistent teams and a load of inconsistent ones. About 14 teams have a sniff of the play offs if they put a run together and find that consistency. We are one of them. Slowly but surely, I think McCann is building something and don't think I've ever been to a live game where we have equalised so late - still buzzing from that.

Charlton had 3 games in a week including a trip to Middlesbrough which is longer than one from Hull to London.

Is quality / strength in depth a better appropriate description?

So when mitrovic or tc gets injured the Fulham fans go into meltdown ?
    There’s always a first team
    And back ups
Klp is looking like a pretty good back up wouldn’t you say?
Far too many on here want to focus on the negatives or supposed negatives

Very true, same for everyone but both teams got a point, us just. I can't remember the last time we got a goal so late

On reflection it was a better 2-2 draw than being 2-0 up and conceding two late goals, especially as our equalizer came so late.

Bit like when we beat the champions of England Leicester first game of 2016/7 season and didn't have a full bench.

    It's still 11 v 11 on the pitch.

    Good post.

Last night was another prime example of us not being at it from the off and allowing teams to get the upper hand leaving us playing catch-up. Credit too the side for doing that because despite injuries few teams lay over and die at this level. As for why we don’t always hit the floor running is a real bone of contention because despite the hype when we turn good sides over and the frustration when we don’t perform against struggling opponents everyone knows we are still limited in certain areas and there is only ONE real reason for that which has been spoke about many many times since the Allam’s first put the club up for sale.

Was it a foul on Eric for their first goal? I thought so. If Pratley had not barged Eric out of the way as he jumped over him it was Eric's ball to head clear. I just could not understand the commentator's reaction that it was not a foul? Any other points of view on this?

Classic situation of ‘anywhere else on the pitch it would have been given as a foul’

would anyone have been surprised if Eaves did the same 10 yards outside the box and got a yellow card for it?!

One of those instances where if we had scored a goal like that we wouldn’t even be discussing it and accusing fans of other clubs who did of sour grapes.

As I saw it our wingback was tactically exposed and they got away with it.

I live in the midlands so dont make it to matches anymore...
What would you say is our major issue in conceding so early on? Am I right that this is 4th consecutive game weve had to salvage something? Who is our weak link?

No it wasn’t. Excellent powerful running jump against a static defender
Great goal and just what you want to see. Though whose man he was, pretty sure he wasn’t Eric’s, wants roasting for losing him

Still only 4 points from the playoffs as it stands , I think the frustration is we drop points against the likes of Barnsley
and beat teams like Fulham and Preston.
