It's more a case that a lot of people do like Chilco, not did like Chilco.

I thought he was still on the forum?

    Or do you know differently?

So do I but nobody else will have me. Apparently I am a liability which is quite polite compared to some of the things I am often called.

Sorry about this, Kaito. I know you’re new here and it’s great having you - the forum isn’t normally like this, but Beddy seems to be having a ‘moment’.

Scotland is becoming more and more appealing by the day. I quite like the look of Shetland, and a few of the other islands.

I wonder if they accept disillusioned southerners who talk funny?

They have welcomed Fraser Forster with open arms so maybe there is hope.

Trimming would be the pragmatic thing to do. I think this administration might well follow the course of the Macron one across the channel, massive enthusiasm followed by massive disillusion as his support realises that he just isn't capable of delivering on things like a "good" Brexit and uniting the country.

There is a case for saying , despite being Labour supporters due mostly to the influence of Trade Unions, many of those Northern English communities have always been socially conservative

    Let’s hope so.

Boris was a complete waste of time as London Mayor, his only legacy being a bridge nowhere that no one wanted; but at least he didn’t pander to the far right, preferring to act the part of the “one nation” Tory. If there is such a thing, which I doubt. Maybe he’ll now go back to that.

Is it a command or request? Depends on the subtlety of the wording.

I was in St Helens last week and much of the industry has all but gone. The partner of my friend attributed oñe of the reasons being due to the policies of the local Labour council. He cited that the Council decided not to pursue redevelopment of land for industrial purposes around Haydock due to opposition of local residents. Of course I need to bear in mind his bias. So given his attitude and that of countless millions in the North of England with similar, it is perhaps, no surprise that last night' AfUK won in many former Labour constituencies.

<laugh> This time next year, Scotland will just be a colder version of France where the passport has become a necessary requirement!

Just listened to Jack Straw saying that the blame for Labour’s woes is not just Corbyn’s , but it also should be shared by Len McCluskie and Milliband. They introduced the new membership rules which led to Corbyn and Momentum. If you let teenagers vote for the party leader, you get a cult. Only people who haven’t experienced socialism are in favour of it. If there is a socialist society that has made people happier or richer, then I haven’t heard of it. The theory is very laudible and I would support one, but it doesn’t work in practise. Labour voters have decided that voting Labour hasn’t improved their lives, so they are voting for a change. As someone who has voted a mixture of all 3 main parties over 50 years, I realise that it all goes wrong in the end.

People have voted for a change by voting more of the same? This world has gone nuts...
