Even from this distance that was apparent but then I think Johnson is a pillock too.

20/20,milky,dbc,and all remainers, your boys took one hell of a beating, the British public have fooked off all the we know better politicians who forgot that they work for us.
I look forward to the revenge on the courts who tried to dictate their personal views to us, Swinson and many Labour MPs who didn't listen to their public will be joining the unemployed this morning, and deservedly so, suck it up boys and girls you lost. <laugh>

Congratulation to all those who wanted this. As for leave v remain it's immaterial but I suspect more people voted for remaining or a second referendum than voted for "get brexit done" but that's not how the system you have works, is it.

A bit of a harsh judgement as the Lib Dems increased their vote more than any other party. She lost I suspect because of the strong desire in Scotland to be independent and in The EU.

I was wrong about the election. I became a Tory at 10.01, I thought it would take until about 2am.

My thanks to all those politicians of all parties who were so considerate as to give Boris a landslide so I could have my Horlicks and get to bed early.

It could be tactical voting by the Scots, I said earlier in the thread, they NEVER vote for Conservative so it’s either Labour or SNP - The SNP won’t get another independence vote under Conservative, if Labour had got in then they’d have been voting twice again.

The labour politicians and voters are out in force today pointing fingers, they all want one thing to blame when it’s not one thing, it’s many.

Actually not so, their result was as bad as bad can be. They were coming off very poor previous results with chances to win back seats they’ve held often in the past. Total abject failure. Even failed to win Winchester near me.

Also I won’t get started on Corbyn, but Swinson goes down as an exceptionally hopeless politician, completely out of her depth. There was no need to give Johnson this election, it’s given him the chance to say he has a mandate for Brexit (with 43% of the vote). She was the first turkey to go for it (apart from SNP who don’t count) and this pushed Corbyn. I suspect she thought as she was on over 20% in the polls at the time and the only clear Remain party she could cash in. ****ing idiot. At least she lost her seat.

Before I start channelling my inner Tory bellend, my last serious observations:
    - Tories + Brexit Party got 45% of the vote, a few Labour votes will have been from Leavers but there’s no evidence Leave would have won a second referendum. That means this election is not going to unite the country (and even less so when you see the case for a Scottish referendum is now very strong, and for a United Ireland).

    - Johnson is completely amoral, with a large majority he can do what he wants, don’t be surprised if he does things the Brexiters, DUP and ERG don’t like either, he can now. I don’t mean he won’t do brexit but he’s no longer in thrall to the ERG and has scuppered Farage for the time being so can do brexit with an eye on not completely screwing up the economy.

That’s me done, my bellend twat of a Tory alter ego has now taken over.

I lost 3 1/2 years ago fella. Accepted the result, said brexit should happen. I just debate the pros and cons of it and the effects on our society and economy. Can’t stand corbyn cant stand Johnson. I am neither happy nor despondent.

I don’t think it’s good for the country but no sleep will be lost here.

In terms of winners and losers - it’s not how you voted but how you are affected that will determine who the real winners and losers are. But nice gloat anyway, wouldn’t expect anything lesso<ok><laugh>

What is it you don't see about the EU being controlled by George Soros, Merky Merkel, Muddy Macron and two faced Tusk.

The EU is all about dictatorship and control, they'll even tell you what bog paper to use.

They are pushing for every Country in EU to give up their sovereignty to the EU, which is dictatorship and control, same thing Hitler wanted.

How would you feel if Australia give up it's sovereignty to the Chinese.

This post warms the cockles of my heart. It’s great that we’ve managed to con people into believing this stuff. It wasn’t easy to get people to vote against their own best financial interests, but WE DID IT!

Ah, but you can’t judge irony by what is written, that’s sort of the point of it. But you crack on.
