What about after a democratic result? Should people respect it and move on?

It depends how you define a democratic result. Both the referendum and this election have been proven to be grossly affected by outright lies hugely disproportionate to one side. It’s just a given now.

Name me one elected PM or Party that has stuck to his manifesto and hasn't told porky's or bended the truth? You won't find one...
    However
We accept the result... it called 'losers consent'.
People can say what they want about the Brexit referendum but it was a simple leave/remain vote and the losers have tried to overturn it. The majority of the Brexit problems has been caused by Remainers.

Pathetic. You should be ashamed Goldie, but it seems that Tories have no shame. This Tory campaign has been the most deceitful ever seen in this country.

The problem has been caused by Brexiteers not having a ****ing scooby what Brexit they want - Hard, Soft, Chunky with bits of cake, No-deal, Norway deal, Canada deal, Timbuktu deal, not one of the ****s seem to be able to agree.

Although personally Remain is the best option, I'd accept and think a Norway deal would get a large proportion of the electorate on board instead of the ****e BawJaws is proffering as the Holy Grail. There is no perfect solution, but that would appease the majority of the middle ground, and probably keep the Union intact.

Foolish and wrong, but nowhere near the levels of Tory lies and deceit. I note that you didn't comment on the finding that 88% of Tory Facebook ads were misleading (against 0% for Labour), or on the Newsnight piece about the Tory fake news campaign against the mother of the child in A&E.

I didn't see the Newsnight programme. Whatever happens by tomorrow, I think there should be a review of fake news responsibility and, probably, a need to strengthen the law. I'm just not in a position to judge which of the two main parties is the bigger culprit.

    Here's the Newsnight piece....

and here's the article about misleading FB ads....

    https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/10/inve...4xxA5yGx7b1-ogyun_vh7hKo5S_mfzNpmJdR-yPpoQL1U

Are you in a better position to judge now?

If the Tories win, they're not likely to change the law are they?

They really need to pre-record interviews with politicians and fact check them as they go. Admitted a five minute conversation with Big Brave Saj would take an hour to broadcast but it would at least be accurate.

The newsnight clip won't play on my tablet, but I'll watch it tomorrow on the PC

Interesting the Tories are being criticised for not costing up the hospitals, when Labour has done the same re Waspy women

Seen the Newsnight clip. The BBC do not know who put out the disinformation tweet. They don't conclude, as you allege, that it was the Tory Party

Well they didn't prove it, but the circumstantial evidence is compelling. At least you have now accepted that it was indeed disinformation. Could you let Ellers know?

A VIDEO has emerged showing a Labour activist illegally handing leaflets out outside a polling station in Redbridge, East London, despite it being illegal to campaign on election day – particularly outside polling stations.
The video was shared by a gentleman on Twitter understandably frustrated that the stunt to manipulate voters by breaking the law.
Click below to watch the footage.
Labour actively handing out vote Faiza Shaheen leaflets to people entering a polling station. Totally wrong. How many people have been improperly influenced by @faizashaheen's activist? Unacceptable. @RedbridgeLive @MPSRedbridge @MPIainDS @GSeeff pic.twitter.com/ivshxgRcIg

Even more shocking was the response he received from a nearby police officer who appears to have been stationed right next to the Corbynista and allowed him to proceed. When informed that the Labour activist promoting Faiza Shaheen was handing out leaflets and that it as a direct breach of electoral law, the officer seemed surprised, gormlessly replying “Is it?”
Yesterday, VoteWatch revealed that members of Faiza Shaheen’s Labour campaign group had been caught in the area shoplifting in Greggs and Clinton’s.
The relevant authorities have been made aware of the incident. VoteWatch has also demanded an answer as to why the Police Officer tasked with upholding the integrity and law of the election does not even know the law that he supposed to be upholding.

Can’t believe anyone actually believes this in December 2019. It was a proven smear campaign. What’s the Cons record like?

Never mentioned can’t believe people can be so thick
