    Newcastle 1.10 Just Georgie

Stable in better form now and some of their runners placed in the last 14 days. Over the last 5 seasons Sue Smith had 13 winners and 13 placed from 65 runs with chasers at Newcastle. Just Georgie is 4 pounds below his last winning mark and likes soft/heavy ground. There is every reason to believe he will fight out the finish today.

Rowland Ward sounds like the sort of chap who should be standing for election today. If he was I’m sure he’d secure a landslide victory.

Incidentally, can I ask if Foxtrot Knight was one of yours. For some reason when I saw his name, earlier, I thought of you. I seem to, at any rate, recall a forum link with this one.

That was when Nass bought into the Olly Stevens bandwagon!
    Where is Olly now?

Three from Taunton, just to help get through the day at work...

2:05 - Ruffling Feathers @ 9/1, 2nd run after a wind op, hoping it dos the trick to at least place...
2:32 - Vaziani @ 13/2, came up against a good one lto, trainer hitting good form at the moment...
3:10 - Dr Sanderson @ 6/1, taking a bit on trust from his lto effort, wasn't without his backers on that run though...

    All done in a little e/w patent...<cheers> <ok>

Was asking as the Blake’s have got a new horse and Foxtrot Knight is his half-brother. Small world or what, say I. The addition to the yard is the 3YO gelding Freedom and Wheat (currently rated 57 but has been as elevated as 69) bought for £6,200 out of Mark Usher’s barn last month. May run for them as early as next week.

By the way another new Blake addition (so pleased and most deserving that they are getting more horses incidentally) is Love Dreams (ex Jamie Osbourne). With a rating of 83 he must be one of the highest Flat perched horses they have had. Even more interesting when you think Love Dreams has been as high as 106. No idea though when he will make his stable bow.

I’ve just googled the chap and now I understand the joke! Actually was a half decent quip.

Still sounds like the sort of chap likely to pop-up in Mr Johnston’s post-election Cabinet though.

But yes, Foxtrot Knight, he was one we had a stake in. He has issues as did the whole yard and has turned into a nice little handicapper for Ruth Carr.

    afternoon,lads!

    warwick,1 55:

quite a few of these come here with something to prove on current form, but WESTERN CLIMATE finally showed a lot more sparkle in his last two runs, and he has tumbled a long way down in the handicap.also has run well here before,so might go well today,if building on on his last run.

a tight, little race, and none of these can be ruled out here.DALI MAIL might not have that fashionable profile of some others, but he was quite a useful bumper horse a few seasons back, and his yard is in good form at present.so,could raise a few eyebrows today with a good run.

Ali Stronge string in not bad form these past few days. One that I'm having a speculative punt on tonight at Chelmsford at big odds.
    6.50 - Zoffany Bay 50/1
Tom Marquand booked. Rode a 25/1 winner for the trainer yesterday. E/w value, I'm having a go!
