Good to see that The Lieutenant finally gets CHANTRY HOUSE out over timber of the morrow at Cheltenham (12.10). He really should take the opener before going on to take very high rank amongst this terms novice hurdlers. Most intriguing runner at the venue though must be another trained by the forum’s favourite trainer namely NEVER ADAPT (1.20). She arrived at ‘The Barrows’ with a massive reputation but in her sole juvenile appearance, for the great man, the old girl was far too keen and finished 3rd in a Grade 2. Despite this though she still put up a solid performance finishing just 3.75 lengths off Quel Destin (who went on to win a Grade 1 and another Grade 2 and is now rated 146). Never Adapt makes her handicap bow, of the morrow, off 128 which to my mind is a figure that she could make a complete and utter mockery of. You do have to take fitness on trust as Never Adapt has been off the course for 13 months but Lieutenant Henderson is well versed at winning with one returning from an absence and if he’s also cured her tendency to pull in the early stages of the race (and given his brilliant brain and ‘magic hands’ I'd say this was more than probable) then you would have to conclude she should win at Cheltenham before hopefully stepping up to Listed/ Graded class. Like these 2 and hopeful both will commence their campaigns with a win of the morrow.
Princess would like this one; I think NORDIC COMBINED for the in form Pipe team has a fine chance in the Cheltenham 1,20. Currently 14/1.
If Needle and time off has worked the oracle then Never Adapt could go off very short. Showed so much ability last season at Cheltenham despite being very unruly. Mark looks fair and they must have seen something to suggest she’s worth keeping in training. Then we’ve got a potato race winner in a handicap to close the days racing. Surely Kilbricken goes very close if wind op was what was needed. 145 looks exploitable to me.
With Evan Williams in **** hot form with a 7lb claimer John constable could cause an upset tomorrow at Cheltenham and easyland for France in the cross country..
I know there has been a couple of selections for the 12-10 Chelt tomorrow - allow me to throw my hat in the ring ..... Shang Tang, currently trading at 10-1 will not be out of the places, and is my idea of the winner. So there
Cheltenham 12:10 Sheshon Sonny Wouldn't be surprised if Sheshon Sonny finally lives up to the high expectations connections have for him. Alan King in his stable tour: "Sheshoon Sonny showed steady progression before rounding out his campaign with victory on his third and final start at Wetherby, and King believes it could be the first of many. He said: “He just got better and better. I was going to run him at the Scottish National meeting at Ayr, but the ground just got a bit quick. “He wants some dig because he is a big, heavy horse. A stiff two or two and a half is what he wants. He has schooled grand and would have jumped a few hundred hurdles last season, even though he was a bumper horse.”
Fond memories of Midnight Chase winning today’s Cheltenham handicap chase off 155 a few years ago before finishing 5th in the Gold Cup. Lovely horse.
I think old boy Cogry is a bet in the big handicap chase. He should get a relatively easy lead today, the form of his seasonal reappearance is working out nicely and on a line with Onefortheroadtom he is overpriced (2lbs for 2 lengths)

Doncaster 2.20 Cusheen Bridge - stable had 4 runners placed from 10 over fences at Doncaster over last 5 seasons - on a very dangerous handicap mark - comeback run wasn't without promise when leading for a long time, will be sharper this time - very good conditional among winners and placed several times last 14 days - goes on the ground Could upset the market leaders.
