I don't believe labour can do anything that they promise, I think they'll tank the economy.

I don't think the tories will do much at all and it'll be business as usual, which I would prefer over labour's proposals.

I think most of the tories are arseholes and liars, but I do think I know exactly the sort of people they are and what they are capable of and I don't think they have much about them personally. I think it's just toffs wanting to keep things as they are.

I think most of labour are arseholes and liars, but I do think they have vast, unspoken desires for Britain and I have no idea what they're capable of. I think it's obvious Corbyn and McDonnel are akin to beret wearing 16 year old revolutionary dweebs who hate the world but never grew up.

it may seem obvious to you, but I don’t see that at all. I hear them caring about the people of this country and wanting a better life for them. We may disagree on how that’s achieved, but I think the libdems, greens, plaid Cymri and snp want that too. Tories and unionists want whatever is going to line the pockets of them and their masters and you rise or sink on your own, no one will care.

It's a perfectly acceptable viewpoint that a strong economy is better for the country than the government ran economy. It doesn't make anyone who thinks this as 'evil' or 'greedy' or somehow without conscience. If you want to encourage businesses and have a strong justice system and a strong military you're basically a pariah these days and yet it's perfectly acceptable to walk about with a hammer and sickle on your t shirt carrying Mao's little book. Oh how edgy.

I know it's 'cool' on social media to be left wing or left of centre but it is not a morally superior view point, regardless of how many twitter likes one gets.

Libdems are basically either closet tories or closet labour depending on which way the wind blows. The worst of all parties.

There are some warped views on here. Some people need to spend a few years living under a dictatorship for them to see how middle of the road British politicians are.

Jeremy Corbyn and his mates won't jail opposition party voters, or round up intellectuals and massacre them.
They won't insist you salute them and call them comrade.

"If people think the air pollution in London is bad, they need to spend a few years trying to breath in space for them to see how middle of the road British oxygen levels are"

Going a bit off topic but take the chance to talk politics. How about that Han Sun Chi woman, years and years under house arrest then after multi national pressure the military dictatorship gave her some job in the government (probably cooking or cleaning) and now she's the one on trial in the Hauge for war crimes.

Irrespective of the outcome, I hope that politicians of all flavours take on board the general feeling of contempt and mistrust that so many in the Country have for them and the system in general.

A lot of the issues over recent years relate to the belief of a lot of people that they are disenfranchised from a political system that simply isn't listening to them.

The childish debates and displays in the media have done little to re-engage with the public they're supposed to serve.

Spot on. There are decent MPs in all sides. It’s about time we remembered this. They are being driven out in some case now by the faceless wonders.
