Hmm.....you were saying? Just shows how opinions vary about our rivals we all watch.

You could easily be in third spot right now as I said. Shame you blew the chance last night, but other sides will fluff their lines as well before the season's out.

As Redprintt suggested above, you can throw a blanket over the dozen clubs behind Leeds and Brom to pick just four to get a playoff spot, because those two will defo be in the top 6 even if they stumble for the autos.

I'm willing to give the lads a bit of a break regarding last night's result. I'm not sure about anybody else but the tribute to Amora Afobe before the match surprisingly choked me up more than I expected and her picture being shown I can't deny bought me to tears and I only know Benik thorough watching him play. The team know him and his family personally and I believe its understandable if they were a bit flat for last nights game after this tribute.

    Loaths,
Are you makining up a story to fit ?
Junior dedicated the last 2 wins to Benik's daughter and family.
We lose and you put forward the opposite.
Tbf, I wasn't there at AG last night so you may well be right.
    Just saying.

I really get the sentiment, but you'd have thought it would have a massively positive effect on the players, with them desperately wanting to win the game for the Afobe family ?

The first win most of the players didn’t know about it, the second win was away from home and didn’t have the applause or the picture of Amara on the big screens. Seeing this image of a smiling happy two year old that is no longer with us affected me in a way I wasn’t expecting, I would imagine to people that actually knew her it would be much worse

I think Millwall worked us out and we didn't have an answer until the last 10 mins.....no excuses, we were piss poor. Bad game and there will be others, dust ourselves off and go again....Our most successful manager since AD is still doing a great job..:emoticon-0105-wink:

You know your club far better than me, but I don't buy the negative effect of personal tragedy on player performances on the pitch. However, you were there last night and I respect your opinion if you see it differently.

We were the first game that Leicester played after their owner's helicopter tragedy. I was there and the CCS was really awash with emotion. The Leicester players were hugely affected, Schmeichal in particular, and they looked in that pre-game line up like they ddn't want to be there. Despite the raw emotion of their players before the event, they got on with it, played well and beat us 1-0.

Similarly I sat and listened to everything said at the CCS before the game when we played Bournemouth in our first game after the Sala tragedy. That was unbelievably emotional for the fans and players despite the fact we'd never seen Sala play for us due to the tragic circumstances. However, once the ref blew the whistle, football took over and we thumped Bournemouth 2-0 with one of the best team performances of our season up there last year.

From what I've seen of your game last night, you were "outplayed" in the sense that Rowett came with a plan and you failed to counter it. Whether that's down to your players being subdued due to recent personal events, or just not being up to the challenge that was set by Millwall is up to you to judge.

After watching the highlights first goal very poor from Bentley should have saved that, second goal where did the referee get that was a foul the player certainly fooled him, did we deserve anything out of the game I will leave that to the people that was there.

We got what we deserved - Nothing, Too much sideways backwards for me, just like WBA we gave the ball away too easily in midfield, I feel for our forwards, the supply to them was awful, lost count of the over hit through balls, Even when behind most of our possession was around our back 4, far too pedestrian, but hey were 4th, roll on Saturday

I watched it from my bedroom and although I was impressed with Millwall I thought their goals were both soft.
I thought COD changed the game when he came on - not just because he scored, but the whole team seemed to step up a gear when he came on. I’ve no doubt that if the game had continued for 10 more minutes we would have scored again.
My frustration is that we can turn it on for the last 10-15 minutes so why not a bit earlier?
Anyway, they have beaten both the current top 2 teams and now the 4th placed team too - maybe we were a bit complacent?
