Utterly fabulous, and you picked a great performance to share. That’s the Royal Academy of Music Orchestra, and just look at how young some of those musicians are!

 

One of the great British dramas - Our Friends In The North came with a brilliant sound track. The four main characters (Nicky, Geordie, Mary, and Tosker) were beyond brilliant. Any opportunity to watch Gina McKee is a treat, but everyone made this absolutely an unforgettable TV feast.

Oasis may not be to everyone's taste but they certainly can knock out a tune or two, and I love this one .....

Completely off the wall, I just stumbled across this. Not even music, but a rare treat for the ears and under-used laughing gear:

 

One of my life long friends, Sheila, has been battling with mental health issues for decades but she has always maintained a wicked sense of humour and a fighting spirit. She somehow finds the strength to reach out to others even when her world seems like it is just too much to cope with. She is such a dear woman, and although the fear of getting involved is a massive obstacle for her, she forces herself to help people who she feels need a hug and encouragement.

Sheila has struggled with alcohol for decades but today she has been free from it for 5 years, and I can't even begin to tell you what an achievement that is for her. This Christmas she is taking a group of young people, who also find it hard to cope, to go planting trees in a barren area in Scotland. She is an extraordinary woman and without doubt someone I truly love and admire.

So, Sheila Take A Bow .....
