I feel very virtuous as I wrote all my Christmas cards for the UK before we came over, then sent them 2nd class post from Aylesbury. They might get to the friends by Christmas.
Morning all. A lovely blue sky here, but it has brought about a heavy frost. Mme has to go out shortly so I had better clear the ice off her car. She is also out this afternoon to her monthly meeting of the French/English club, but tells me to listen out for the phone as she is expecting a call from England. Looks as if I will not be able to stray far from the house. Have a good day whatever you must do.
Windy up here....... Tuesday morning I now run a language cafe... to which recent immigrants ( the breadth is amazing) come and practice English. Today I had Hong Kong Chinese and mainland Chinese in the group ....Oppositional views on HK... and makes you realize the bias of the West and how GB messed up big time in its colonies.
Morning all. Wet, grey and not very warm in this part of France today. I have received the menu for my gourmet dinner next Sunday, so now I have to choose what goes with what on the different courses. While in England I had a meal in an Italian restaurant. If I thought that French ones could be noisy they hold nothing on that one. I must admit that one Italian did have a very good baritone voice as he regaled us with snippets of well know arias. Enjoy your day whatever the weather.
I have enjoyed watching Rixk Steins secret France this last few weeks.... some great hidden eateries!
Morning all. Dry but cloudy and windy here. Two very large ash logs went into the wood burner yesterday afternoon and were still alight when I went to bed. One of my wheelbarrow wheels has developed a puncture so I am having to use a smaller one to bring the logs up from the fields. Rather glad to have some that last a long time. Enjoy your day one and all.
I had two wheelbarrows with punctures a couple of years ago. I used the spray foam to seal the holes to great effect. Both have had masses of work since without the types going flat.
