Evening all. Just back from the game (Leeds fan) and ultimately your decision making in the final third let you down. The first goal for example originated from a poor cross into our keepers hands when you had us stretched 4 on 4 at the back. Not going to say you deserved something as ultimately you didn't score but it was a decent performance from your guys and fair play you came and had a go which made it an enjoyable match. Looks like it's finally our turn to go up but I'm sure there will still be plenty of twists and turns along the way.
You didn’t score a legitimate goal either! Second goal should have been disallowed for the foul on our keeper. First goal was an own goal.
That's what you get when you ****-house from early the first half: s11 men behind the ball throughout, faking injuries, time-wasting from 15 mins in - tin pot tactics. And let's not forget Leeds had a perfectly good goal wrongly ruled offside... Once Bowen leaves, Hull = League 1 fodder. Enjoy mid-table.
The grandson went and he said pretty much what everyone said, that we were unlucky to lose and a draw would have been a fair result. bar some TWS fans who disagree even with their manager opinion about our performance, sad ****s, Lopes sounds as if he is growing in stature and good to hear Eaves had a good game. Probably will see some changes Friday as fresh legs might be needed.
Don’t you think it’s a little bit early to say that it looks like you’re going up?* I mean of all the teams to say that about I would have thought yours was the least likely to end up as high as they get to just before Christmas? *perhaps you’ve only started going this year though.
Little bit confused this morning. As they supposedly don't care about us, there's plenty of Leeds fans chipping in with City stuff on Twitter (Bowen, lost in your cup final, LUFC badge in replies). Odd bunch. Not tarring all with the same brush, there's decent Leeds fans who have honest opinions on the game without acting like obnoxious, arrogant pricks. The longer it stayed 0-0, the more likely it felt they'd find a goal given their form and that will always give them an edge in a close encounter. Bit like WBA really, gave as good as we got but they had that little bit extra to grab the win in a fairly even contest. With a fully fit side yesterday (Toral, Magennis), we may well have ended up getting something. Hard to feel despondent after that defeat given their form and our efforts (felt a lot more deflated after Barnsley and Huddersfield where we just didn't turn up). Hopefully we can take the positives from last night into the game on Friday and the Christmas fixtures.
Can't believe you thought you should have got something out of it because you nearly scored. We got a goal ruled out that wasn't offside, again, as well as (you know) actually scoring 2 goals. You do know, in order to win you need to put the ball in the net. Leeds had most of the ball, whilst you lot faked injury and only tactics were to hoof the ball to that big useless lump up top, your boy Bowen in still in the pocket of Stuart Dallas who is a winger, not even a defender. Can't believe that before the game you thought we were nothing special and expected to win, you lost to Barnsley last week and we played no where near our best and still won. I will give you credit for almost stifling us. You don't win 7 in a row and barely concede any goals without a bit of luck, but you have to make everything count & we are at moment. I'd say once Bowen is sold (although I'm not convinced he's that good) you will be relegation fodder.
But come on, you tested our keeper once. Why do you think you should have got something from the game? We won it fair and square. Time to move on I think.
To be fair, it's not everyone that has the first line of a song written about them like Caswhite has..
