We are in actual danger of relegation if we keep Ljungeberg in charge.

To actually think they can sack Emery and replace him with Freddie for 1 game is criminal, let alone for 3 games and counting!

All we have is top quality forwards.

Midfield has been garbage - but a lovely finish there from Auba.

    Have to say...

big up every one of these players.

they were playing awful in the first half and have shown the bollocks to come back and get a win when we really needed it.

    Thank ****.

Martinelli's finishing is something else. They need to keep hold of this kid - he has ridiculous potential.

Nice to see Pepe get on the scoresheet.

First half we were terrible - second half we went alot more direct and it worked.

I think a big part of why we were so terrible is we were under so much pressure because of our current run.

now that we have a win, hopefully the players can breath a massive sigh of relief and build from here. After we scored the second, we looked more like our old selves - we stopped second guessing every single touch.

You are dead right there... You could see the relief written over every players face every time we scored, as if they'd just won the Champions League!

First 55 mins we were typical shocking and then bang, we realised who we were and what we can achieve if we forget the physiological barriers. Mojo was there to see, one touch quick movement and went on from there, City on Sunday though hmmmm ..personally I'm glad it's against a top side.

Hope Tierney isn't out long term! and please leave Xhaka out of the starting 11!

I wonder if tiredness from the westham players in the second half (due to the amount of possession we had in first half) played a part.. Def easier playing with the ball than chasing..

I think last night showed how we should line up going forward. Not convinced about Sokratis. But we could see especially in the 2nd half Torreira sat and was disciplined. I liked the look of Guendouzi next to him. We need to go with pace up top with Martinelli, Pepe and Auba. Ozil's passivity is still incredibly frustrating. For large parts last night he looked uninterested. There was a point in the game where we were already 3-1 up and we started passing around aimlessly and gave the ball away. Martinelli dashed back to help breakup the turnover. And he bollocked Guendouzi and AMN. Love that kid! I love his spirit. We should have kept attacking to get our attacking juices flowing again instead of the sideways BS. For the guaranteed starters right now are Leno, Torreira, Martinelli and Auba. We need to build around these guys.

Shout out to Kolasinac. Came in and did pretty well. Chambers was good too. Pepe looks happier. Please keep him on the pitch. Martinelli is infectious and dangerous. Torreira looked like himself the last 35 mins.

    Overall much need result!

For city I hope we just go out there and fight again. Leave it out there. If they win they win but we need to make a statement.

Torriera is great when he plays as the deepest mid. I like the Guendouzi Torreira combo only they need a more attacking dynamic midfielder in front of them.

Ozil doesnt have the workrate/intensity and Ceballos has underwhelmed. Willock maybe?

I think with our excllent forward line it is crucial we get in a player who is going to make runs forward, speed the game up, spread the play, thread balls through. We are crying out for a proper orchestrator in the middle. For whetever reason Ozil just isnt that for us.

On top of that Aubmayang has scored 90% of our away goals this Season. Statistically he's one of the best strikers in the Clubs history - he needs to play upfront. Martinelli/Laca/Ozil and Nelson can fight it out for the RW position.

    -------------------------Leno--------------------------
    Beller------Sok/Cham----Holding------Tierney
    --------------Torreira-----Guendouzi--------------
    ------------------------New----------------------------
    ----Pepe--------Aubamayang-----Mart/Laca--

Much much better in the second half last night. We showed the fight that had been lacking all season.

As for line ups, I agree that Guendouzi should be in the team ahead of Xhaka, as long as Torreira is disciplined, then Guendouzi offers far more of an all round game. Xhaka for me is still a liability. He got away with it last night because we won, but there were several incidents that could have cost us due to his lack of awareness, and poor decision making.

In defence, when fit I would choose Chambers and Holding at CB, Bellerin and Tierney, although Kolasinac did well when he came on and it was his run that led to our first goal. Up front we have some great options. Auba has to be first on that team sheet through the middle, and Pepe needs to start. Martinelli was excellent last night, he reminds me of Alexis Sanchez with his work rate, he never gives up and always tracks back when we don't have the ball. The kid is going to be a big big player. The fact that he's keeping Laca out of the team shows how good he is.

For me Martinelli is a shoe in. Knowing how weak we are defensively we need to defend from the front and he's great at that. Up front Martinelli (intensity and ball carrying), Auba (GOALS), Pepe (confidence and ball carrying) have to start. Laca has to fight for a spot. He's been poor of late. Hopefully he starts Thursday.

I like the 'idea' of Willock instead of Ozil because of his dynamism. But does he has to find some form. Hopefully he starts on Thurs at #10. I'd like to see Saka, Laca, Nelson and Willock as our front line. Xhaka, Guendouzi in the middle. If Bellerin is alright he should get some minutes. Tbh I'm not sure I wanna see him face Sterling at this point in his return. AMN for the City game. Holding and Mustafi for Thursday.

One swallow doesn't make a spring! We were still far too deep defensively on the heatmap. It is giving the midfield far too much to do, and there is too much space between defense and midfield most of the time. Maybe with a little more confidence we will push up, but it is going to be a while I'm afraid. This isn't about individual players. Please try and resist the temptation to call out players just because they happen to be the ones exposed by our tactical issues.
