"So you can all lay off SD and lay off SmuginBoots as well. MSD have given SD a chance to break even which is fair enough, he didn’t pick the club up for nothing - which is the whole issue, he overpaid. And Smug was correct but the sands shifted." Everything I was told came from a very good friend and ex-employer, who happens to be a multi-millionaire, and secondly a close friend of one of FPP. Nothing was I was told was 'in confidence' so I happily posted it. At the time it was openly talked about, by FPP, as 'a done deal' and one in which Donald acquiesced. This is why a company was allowed, by Donald, to be registered using the SOL as the address with Companies House. As far as I've been informed things progressed, through due diligence etc, and the benefit to Donald was whittled away up to the point whereby he chose not to relinquish his shares and thereby the ownership of the club. That's fair enough and he's entitled to do as he sees fit. It's as if the Americans were engaged to be married but the 'pre-nup' has held things up ... ... I still expect the takeover to go ahead but not the whirlwind romance we'd expected.
Donald's taking a gamble to which he's entitled. If he wins, we win ... ... if he loses we win and he doesn't even get to keep the wedding presents.
I still think theres a huge middle ground between winning and losing. Winning is them coming on board because we've progressed. Losing is them coming on board because Donald hasn't got the money to pay them back, which is very far fetched because it means he and Sartori lose everything and gain nothing. But the worst case scenario is that Donald pays them back (more than likely with dividends from SAFC, so very little personal loss if any) and gambles on finding another buyer who will pay closer to what he needs for a profit, or gambles on getting them back to the table with another deal.
Usually say Alreet mate myself being a fellow Geordie. I noticed when working up Scotland earlier in the year they call everyone pal
Not sure about which would be most stupid, SD for thinking he could get them back for a better deal or FPP if they gave him one! That is not going to happen. Whether anyone would give him a better deal unless we’d actually improved on the pitch would be a very moot point also
Anyone interested in buying the club could've probably done a better deal buying directly from Short. Donald hasn't really increased the value of the club.
Stewie to me is in a swamp full of crocodiles. When I have been in a similar situation in my life my life my philosophy was just worry about the one that is closest to you and going to bite you up the ass. To me that crocodile is who is going to manage his team? Is he going to stick with PP or change because if he gets the manager right and he get us going in the right direction then this will help dealing with the other crocodiles. If it was my decision the person who I appointed to get the results and wasn't getting them I would change. In his current predicament I don't think he has the time to see if PP is going to steer the ship in a different direction.........."Iceberg ahead captain"......
I may be way off here but recently a local news outlet posted a picture with a footbridge over The Wear to the ground, Sheepfolds redeveloped and the stadium looking like the stands/roof were level (ie an expansion)..... Pretty sure it was mentioned that the Americans wanted the council on board to redevelop the area..... I believe that something is happening, but if it doesn't happen your posts kept me and my boy believing that something massive could be happening to our club.
please log in to view this image So the posh one prefers to be out canvassing for the tories instead of helping the lads get promoted. Makes me sick to be honest and shows his true colours So much for the personal reasons excuse as well
Shurrup man, he's a toff. We should hate him. Set our whippets on him and beat him with our flat caps!
compared our fans as not a 'beautiful woman' like what the yanks had been promised but as a 'minger with mascara running'
