Very diplomatic - and much better than the thread I posted calling everyone arseholes!! (Drink induced but no excuse)

I would love to see how a game would pan out if the scrowd backed them. If a pass is attempted which could create a chance but slightly over hit or misplaced, applaud the attempt instead of barracking the mistake. It's the chicken and egg thing isn't it. If one happens so does the other most likely.

I'd love that box to be ticked on Saturday. But if we concede early, there will be a big black smudge over the box

It'd make a huge difference. We're not the twelfth man we're more like the tenth. I'm expecting it to turn ugly on Saturday.

You know what mate, I can understand staying away.

Its not for me, but I’m not one who would say you’re less of a fan or ‘better off without’.

The club, let’s go back to Roker. Yes, I get that the new stadium is a bit more family friendly and that, but let’s not lie to ourselves that Roker was always full, it wasn’t.

We’ve 18-20k ‘die hards’, way below our average attendance. That’s still a huge number compared to most clubs.

Those are the ones we need right now, the thick and thins, we need to try and lift the place.

Atmosphere is infectious. I’m a bit old now to be the daft little **** starting songs often getting half a verse in before anyone joined, but we still have them.

Find your voices lads, get some folks faces out of their phones and off their own feet.

Speaks volumes that mate. I was all for giving him time to bring his own people in, but he's not even getting a squeak out of this team, never mind a tune.

I don't think there's any doubt, that if we get beat on Saturday, the crowd will make their feelings known. There were rumblings at the end of the Burton game. There will be more than rumblings at this one.

In principle, I would agree with what you say mate, but in the second half of the Burton game, the crowd did find their voices. Unfortunately, our players weren't inspired enough to blow the opposition away. Instead, they conceded a soft goal, then curled up and hid.

I have to admit mate, Burton game really got me, I was sat there like a zombie. I don’t stand up, I barely even looked up as the game went on.

I was just numb. Even under Moyes I had a bit of spirit in me.

May have been going straight from a busy day at work, will see next game. I just couldn’t find any of what I’m saying we need in myself.

Ive been going 31 years this year, I’ve always had something to give for the lads.

You're definitely not alone with that feeling. Think it's down to people thinking our fall had bottomed out, only to be faced with the reality that it probably hasn't.

    Yeah I think so mate.

We should have been well beaten by Coventry, that late equaliser and I half expected that would give us a lift and a bounce. Was obvious early it hadn’t. We score, you think ‘here we go lads’ then wallop it’s 1-1 a nano second later.

It just blew the stuffing out of me. We drove home after in absolute silence. Radio off, tunes off. Absolute silence.

It felt like rock bottom. Then we went to Gillingham. Then we seen the team he’d put out. Then we got to 89mins...

Its a battering at the minute, we are being completely savaged as fans and as a club.

We have to keep the faith that we will be back. We will be. But it’s not gonna get better anytime soon, the players and management aren’t capable.

I said on my other thread - I felt massively intimidated for getting behind them after the Burton goal - people in the north stand made me feel very uncomfortable for it! I have never felt uncomfotable at a match before. Afterwards once when I asked someone not to swear in front of my (then 6 year old) daughter but never during. When you get people on your back for getting behind the team, people need to work out whether they just go to argue with people

I am still hoping that the phrase " the darkest hour is before the dawn" is the summary of our current plight.

Is it to much to expect for a bit of fight, effort, passion, blood, snot, tears and leaving every last bit of energy out on the pitch?

    Chunk,
We were all saying this three years ago when we were being relegated from the Premiership.
Different players, manager and chairman then but it's like deja vue all over again, what is it within the belly of this club that makes all our dreams and expectations turn to sh1t.
I like many others are at a loss to explain this catalogue of disaster but it's certainly taking fans to their breaking points in following this club.

Maybe we have to hit the lows to appreciate the highs more?

Not that that makes any sense as we have been lower than a snakes belly for the last 3 years

I am more and more bemused by the amount of fans lamenting the departure of ross and worse the amount that would have him back.
Such people must have the concentration and memory of goldfish.
Just because PP is proving worse than ross ( and remember ross was woeful ) that is reason to bring that knacker back.
It's akin to leaving your spouse because they were unfaithful and then marrying a prossie, only to find she still works her old job. You decide you want your missus back.
We need fresh blood. A proper manager not the duds we keep hiring and we need shot of hill and the rest of his football jokers ( coton, reid et al )
Ideally I'd like shot of donald as the job is way out of his league and competence.
Sartori is a different kettle of fish.
He has big backing and the yanks would not so easily mess with him. In some respects I think he might be the reason the whole investment/ takeover ground to a halt.
    What a bloody shambles

I am more and more bemused by the fact that you can't see that Ross was going results out of a limited squad, whereas Parkinson isn't.

I reckon if we'd stuck with Ross we'd have ground out a couple more wins, a lot more draws and hardly any losses in the cups or otherwise, and we'd be looking at a few tweaks in January not a club in crisis situation.

Yes there was a gradual slump but that can happen when you've got ****e players.

When we were getting beat week after week in the Premiership, it was easier to take, because we were facing decent opponents. Now we are getting beat week after week by really poor sides, which makes it so much harder to stomach.
