Welcome everyone to the Match Thread for Saints v West Ham. Saints will be looking to improve their incredible, once in a lifetime run of home victories to 3 by hammering their opponents this weekend. Saints were massively unlucky not to batter Newcastle at the weekend with their 4 shots on target and Barca level 55% possession, but were robbed at the end by a complete sucker punch goal to lose the game 2-1 At the time of writing West Ham have yet to win their Monday night game against Arsenal so, as it stands, they are only a single point ahead of Saints in the table. That makes this another huge 6 pointer, lose and certain relegation, win and we will be well on our way to 15th place finish. Not sure who the officials are for this one @tomw24 will have to consult his referee sticker book to give us some names. My Line up: ----------McCarthy----------- Ceddy--Beddy--Vesty--Berty Boufal--Hojbjerg--JWP--Redmond ---------Ings-----Long------- My prediction: A ridiculous display of total football that brings adulation from all corners, this results in Ings scoring a goal from a complete **** up defensively caused by us passing the ball sideways and backwards just inside our own half. West Ham then flukily score 3 undeserved goals before we make a sub and we unbelievably lose the game 3-1
I predict Cedric to give away another dozen or so free-kicks around our own box. The kung fu kick that led to Newcastle's equaliser will take some beating though. I judged that 9.5/10 for originality.
There is a match tonight so the Referee and other officials will be posted tomorrow, probably 9 a.m. on https://www.premierleague.com/referees/overview (Nothing on the list yet?)
If only Cedric had decided to kick Almiron somewhere else on the pitch! He definitely deserved it after deliberately treading on Bertrand’s Achilles (for no yellow) earlier.
I predict Cedric to absolutely spank a cross out for a goal kick, and to take a tame shot straight at the goalkeeper when others are better placed.
Another good one was when Cedric was preparing to tackle Saint-Maximum (?), and instead he just tripped and fell into him. Classic Cedric.
With the urgency we show in attack it will have to be 3 own goals from back-passes that get caught by the wind.
Cedric has become the new comedy RB at the club like his predecessor Cuco the Clown... please log in to view this image
I'm hoping that WHU get a really tough ride tonight. Could do with them missing a few key players. Please. Beg beg.
Side note. What the hell you doing on here Ern? Have you seen the glorious arsenal content floating around online................its endless!
It's a West Ham match thread, I visit them from time to time to run my team chances down so I look like I know what I'm talking about.
Let me fill you in. We are full of panic and the hope is killing us. That's about it. You got any injury concerns? Fingers crossed.
Micheal Antonio, he's got a dodgy hamstring which could go, a real worry for us West ham fans as he's the only player that looks like he wants to have a go every game. Other than that, no, but that isn't a particularly good thing as it means the same uninterested players will get picked.
