You're blind as a bat and definitely can't read a game........I'll agree, it took him about 15 minutes to find his bearings, after that he did a good job. Both White and Berardi played good games out of position. The way udders were coming at us hard and fast from the off, the defence showed professionalism and discipline to keep udders at bay and prevent them from scoring. Where would Phillips have made the difference to our 2-0 win with a clean sheet?
So it's the defences fault udders were hitting us hard and fast......nothing good to say about our defensive performance, the defence that contributed greatly to our 2-0 win and clean sheet Kiko played a great game, had to cos udders were hitting us hard and fast from the off. 0h yes, excuses and blame cos Phillips wasn't playing...... How unusual.
Not just one reason. Like I said a reshuffled defence. Both centre halves missing from normal positions. One injured and the other, and probably player of the season, having to relocate. A combination of things I’d say
First part of that from anyone else, I'd have a think about it but as it's you I know I'm not wrong. I'm not the only one who's blind and can't read a game it seems. Site 1 MotM top 6. Site 2 Motm top 5 Site 3 Motm top 3 Site 4 Motm top player. On the 4 sites that do a MotM poll, White didn't pick up a single vote. The last part, the clear answer is no one knows, yet the previous game we won by 4 but you still couldn't give Phillips any praise, only looking to have a go with your ridiculous pettiness.
Oh dear. If Phillips had played we’d have had our best player in DM and our best player at CB (and Phillips does a lot more than defend, the way the whole team play the ball out is using him).
Not the defences fault no, to coin your favourite “they cut through the middle of us,” they exploited the gap between the back line and midfield, they exploited the DM position that went missing. We all saw that first half (apart from yourself) the sky commentary team witnessed it, Danny Mills mentioned it, Sky even produced a little chart showing where each player played the majority of the first half and White was not in the right position. Our defensive performance was okay, I’ve already said Kiko played great but Eire has already pointed out, we were playing a team with 10 players out injured, they haven’t won in 5 games, they’re at the bottom end of the table yet OUR keeper was many people’s MOM that says a lot about how they cut through us. White actually made more tackles as a CB first half, he played alongside Berardi and Ayling as he couldn’t master the correct DM role or position. There was no putting a foot in breaking up play in the middle, there was no directing the play, pinging a pass out wide or through to Klich and Pablo, it actually looked like we were playing 5-4-1 Does it make White a bad player, am I blaming him NO he just isn’t suited to the DM role. Bottom line and my final say is you’re the only one who can’t see any of this, you’re the only one who doesn’t want to see what Phillips brings to the team, your hatred for him is comical, you miss basics like praising Ayling for not getting caught forward and not realising he wasn’t playing RWB he was at CB yet twice this past weekend you accused me of being an idiot so you’re obviously getting prickly and a salty taste in your mouth when you’re constantly being proved wrong. I’d convinced myself that you either wouldn’t do one of these threads this week, or you would and you’d focus on how great we were in attack. I smiled to myself convinced you’d steer clear of any mention on Phillips, there was just no way you could justify how blatantly obvious it was that we were weaker with the shuffle but no, he doesn’t play and you still turn on the hate button, it’s quite sad really. I appreciate the video links for anyone who has missed the highlights but I’m going to have to stop reading the comical match analysis, have a good day
So we get out played in the middle of the park most weeks despite dominating possession, creating chances and restricting the opposition chances. Yesterday, when none of the above happens, it’s credit to the opposition for playing ‘hard and fast’. Let’s hope no opposition managers were watching yesterday. God help us if other teams try the ‘hard and fast’ tactic with Phillips in the team... it’ll be a massacre.
