Horrible, just plain horrible, definitely the worst we have played for two years. Gave the ball away at every opportunity, lost just about every 50-50 ball.Kepa gave away two goals and the defence (was there one) was sunday park at best. Definitely a game we should have won with the right application, players were definitely not up for it. No one of note to mention although nice to see Kovacic score again.

Lets hope Frank knocks them around the head tomorrow in training.

That was so disappointing. We had 70% possession and still lost 3-1. Big week coming up with Lille and Bournemouth. Need to steady the ship...big threat from Spurs now for 4th spot !

Disappointing and one we should’ve seen coming - there was bound to be a reaction from Everton after their annihilation at Anfield and we succumbed to schoolboy errors; at least the transfer embargo has been dropped and no prices for guessing where reinforcements are most needed - so time to repair the leaks and move on.

Holy mackerel, where has all the form gone?? Kante was awful, Dave absolutely skinned all game by Walcott, Abraham needs 5 set ups for each goal he scores, Reece James asleep, Christensen especially and Zouma to a lesser degree terrible, Kepa like a yo yo.
Hard to believe so many could play so badly at the same time. Or maybe Everton were more up for it. Or both.
Serious now, we have to stop believing the hype and start performing again. Got seasick from watching all the sideways and backwards passing by the mids and back 4, Kovacic excepted. Oh well, time to get back on the horse and pull the whip out.

I don't think there was any hype, at times its hard to believe a young team could do this good but we all know deep down its at least a two to three year project.

The young team was caught off guard being incredibly naive. Everton were never going to roll over and we’re always going to be tough to beat. However they were entirely beatable.
How many times were we in decent scoring positions but simply didn’t take the shot?! I couldn’t help but think frank was a little paralysed today.

Never mind, the project rolls on and we build and grow from it.

We certainly do, but the goals have dried up apart from Kovacic who's on fire, and we look to be playing with less freedom and more caution. Understandable I suppose, but think we've possibly gone a bit far to the cautious side. Players will sure be aware they screwed this one up, look forward tor a brighter, quicker and slicker outing next game.

Did expect a better show from Chelsea. Was never going to be a game shown first on MOTD. We had a plan to play on the break, go long/direct and not allow Chelsea to press us in our defensive 3rd. Could hVe easily been the reverse result.

We have them all 3 goals really and messed up our own chances by taking 2 and 3 too many touches near the box, mainly Willian.

Still think Abraham gets way too much criticism, could see how much we missed him in the West Ham game, easily our worst performance of the season. He’s second top scorer in the league and he doesn’t even take penalties.

We just didn’t deal with their long ball but I think some of that is down to a lack of a leader in the middle of defence and an absolutely bang average goalkeeper.

I think Tammy is definitely work in progress. When the team was flying he was scoring for fun, but now he's having to work for goals, he is missing three and four opportunities a game for each goal. it's only time and experience before he gets that right, plus a little more bulk. His general play is getting really good, chest down to Mount was perfect and he's getting stuck in. Don't expect him to morph into Drogba in 6 months, but he does need to become a bit more lethal, which he looks like he will.Criticism is hopefully constructive.

The hype all over the media about how we are top 4 certs, all the kids are brilliant, what a great job we are doing, it's been everywhere. Might be true too, but not a good idea to get too carried away with.

I wouldnt say certs at all, not by a long shot, especially lately, as our form has dipped a little.

It was extremely unfortunate that we played Everton after they sacked Silva and put in Dunc, first game syndrome is hard to fight against, and you could see that the players were fighting tooth and nail for Dunc, and they got the rub of the green.

Other than the Everton game though, I dont feel our performances have been too bad, even against City we looked menacing. We just need to plug that leaky defence. Remember we have a lot of youngsters in this team and these types of blips happen from time to time in immature players. Once our defence is sorted then we are top 4 certs, then in the summer we can try to make a team that is ready to challenge for honours.

Haven't seen any hype like that in British media.

They have been lauding Mount and Abraham, and rightly so, both have exceeded expectations.

And Tomori and RJ have been praised for their talents too

If you haven't seen any OTT stuff about Chelsea in the British media, you must be sleepwalking. The British media have been all over Chelsea, talking up our success, and now putting the boot in because we're in a bit of a slump.
Most people would call that hype. Ive got more important things to do than argue the definition of hype.
Sure most posters get the gist.

Haven't seen either. No one seems to be putting the boot in either.

There again, I don't engage reactionary media such as Sky or tabloids. Are the red tops criticising us?

I don't have Sky nor red tops, but you're right, the tabloids are quick to criticise and the game is heavily reported on all over the world. Currently in Singapore reading the review of the Lille match, Abraham gets loads of plaudits, defence gets heavily criticised. Seems a common thread . Will get to see a replay later today.
