This was a match where Udders had one game plan, and one game plan only.

They came at us hard and fast with the intent of harassing, frustrating and trying to catch us unawares trying to grab an early goal from pressure pressure pressure, to a certain extent they achieved it, but not enough.

From all the pressure from udders, our defence stood their ground, soaked it up and weathered the storm, that's what good defences do.

Udders had the best of first half, and they achieved that with constant hard and fast attacking play but it's hard trying to blast a ball through a brick wall...........I said during first half Udders won't be able to keep up the pace throughout the game, and they didn't.

Second half saw us come out a different team, and we slowly took advantage of udders slowly tiring. Udders came out with the same intentions to their credit, hard, fast and attacking football, the hard slowly become softer, the fast was getting slower and the attacking was slowly turning into more defence as the udders players tired.

A cracking first time shot from Alioski broke the deadlock and we were one nil up.

Alioski's shot should become the goal of the week, month and year to date, it was hit first time low and hard with power, as most shots should be from edge of box.

Our second goal was all about one touch and pass football. Berardi first time pass to Costa, Costa first time pass to Nikita, Nikita one touch and pass to Alioski, Alioski one touch and pass to Harrison, Harrison one touch and cross for Pablo to score a great goal with his head. This was a brilliant move, and brilliant football coming out from the back to score our second goal.

What's also rare is, Harrison actually crossed it early, he didn't try and dribble around everyone and the corner flag. He does pop a good cross over early occasionally.

A good match to watch with excitement, frustrations and early squeaky bum times.

Dallas, a bit of his normal game, his passing dropped below par. The time the commentators said he was flagged for offside, he wasn't, it was Bamford who was offside.

Alioski, Klich and Pablo all had good games. Alioski just back from injury, Pablo slowly getting back to his best, and Klich, unlucky not to score, has gained his confidence back after missing a penalty a while ago.

Costa had another good game, Harrison slowly learning the benefits of crossing early, hopefully he learns of course. Ayling did a good job down his side, didn't seem to go to far forward as much this match, that could be cos udders were continually pressing us but Ayling did alright.

White and Berardi did excellent jobs of filling in.

White needed about 15 minutes to find his feet in the CM role, once he got his bearings he did an excellent job along with the other backline players.

For those that said we missed Phillips bringing a calming effect to our defence, you need to rethink that one through.

Udders came at us hard and fast, they continually pressed and pressured, they were trying to break us down, but they didn't, why? cos they couldn't get through our defence or past Kiko. Phillips would've been left stranded, dazed and confused the way udders were constantly trying to break us down.

For the record, we've had frustrating and pressured games in past, some worst than this one, Phillips didn't create any calming effects back then. Cooper's the one who creates the calming effects if they're needed.

Berardi was a rock at the back, and he didn't have a problem jumping with udders taller attackers. He gave 110% as he usually does, and did an excellent job being part of the backline defence.

Great game to watch, we ground it out and weathered udders storm to win 2-0.

    3 minutes worth

Apart from completely missing how important Phillips is for us and somehow managing to get a dig in even when he's not playing a good roundup.

If he's that important, how come we managed to win 2-0 against a side who attacked us hard and fast from the off?

Thing is, some people put so much emphasis on Phillips they seem to forget about the others players who contribute more to matches.

They make him out to be some super duper footballer that Leeds would fall apart without him, but we didn't against udders.

He doesn't do anything out the ordinary, he makes a lot of mistakes and opposing players get around and past him, then he gives up. He goes awol quite a few times too.

People were took in by the 30 mill price tag Leeds put on him, yet he plays nowhere near that value.

Some people don't want to see his flaws.

I love White, player of the season so far but he struggled yesterday, he did what Phillips did when he first became the D Midfielder, left gaps, between him and the defence, over hit passes, Phillips learnt the position, White would most likely would too but he looked lost there yesterday. They had 3 very good chances after we scored the second, all coming through our midfield, no one stopped the runner coming through the middle, where White should have been, if it wasn't for Kiko yesterday the game would have been lost in the first half, again chances created by them cutting through our midfield with ease at time. White is an 8 to 10 out of 10 player(except M'Boro) yesterday he was a 6 at best.

Are you seriously suggesting we keep White as DM and partner Cooper with Berardi?

In most recent games Kiko barely had a save to make yesterday. Yesterday, against a bottom four team
Missing ten regulars he had to be man of the match to keep them scoreless. Showed how weakened our defensive unit was and that had a lot to do with playing our only centre half out
Of position to cover for Kalvin

Exactly this, we didn’t concede because of some great goal keeping and poor finishing each time straight through the middle.

Pablo and Klich only received the ball first half when they went back to collect it. Oh and LL the reason Ayling wasn’t caught too far forward (as you put it) he was playing CB not RWB ;)

I am amazed even you can’t see just how hugely we missed him.

OK, just joking, I’m not really amazed.

At halftime if we would have been offered a point, I would have snapped off the offerers arm and sprinted away with it as fast as I could.

Fortunately their finishing was worse than ours and Kiko played magnificently except for one time that I can recall.

So what affected us most? Phillips or Cooper being out? Or was it because both were out?
