I very much doubt that's a primary concern for the Americans tbh. We have to buy our way out of 2 divisions before the amount of 'profit' involved would be of much interest. We need to spend on at least one manager, numerous players, scouting, etc before we can move on. There's a balance between cost cutting and revenue to be found. Get promoted, with low paid players who can be sold and replaced and it's success. Fail to go up with highly paid players you're stuck with and you need to spend again. Donald banked on Plan A and now he's in a downward spiral where he needs to put things right or lose his shirt.
