Yeh just a small one as it was only me eating it, if the mrs is here ill usually do 18.

Office retirement do tonight. First Crimbo dinner of the year

 

Did as suggested and went to the pub this evening.

Still here in fact. Actually needed a couple of peaceful pints tonight, work is hectic and I'm stressed to ****.

Interesting boozer, middle of nowhere on the Gwent levels with seemingly only farms and farmers for miles around. Good beer though, and I had burger and chips because I couldn't make my mind up between liver and bacon, braised ox cheeks or Cumberland sausages with jumbo yorkie, all with veg & mash.

Should have had the Ox cheeks, the burger was very good but standard.

All the villagers here talk loudly.

 

Pan fried halibut dusted with cumin and flour
Roasted potato, red onion and tomato with garlic, fresh coriander, paprika and chilli

skip that green ****, and the rest looks well tasty.

 

I like kale and spinach but I completely cover it with white pepper.

 

can't remember eating halibut, how was it?

 

It’s quite meaty for a white fish which is why I like it. I don’t really do flaky fish unless it’s battered.

 

you should really check out a john dory. lightly fried in butter for about a minute either side.

 

The king of fish. I much prefer it to Monkfish.

 

don't know about here, but sure i seen some doco where halibut get to a couple of hundred pounds.

 

Am having sausage and hash brown baps. May go crazy and have ketchup on one hp on the other.
