I just watched the 3 minute highlights, 2 great goals from us. A question. How is Cedric still a professional footballer?
We had probably the hardest start to the season in the league. Slightly harder games coming up but still much easier run than what we have already faced.
MOTD at 10:45 for the highlights and the rest of this evening's footy. If you're going to stay up late have a nice mug of ovaltine. please log in to view this image
2 great wins when it really mattered Only seconds away from 3 straight wins. Let's hope we can keep it up but a good December must not distract from the fact we need to invest in the team next month.
Where's the transfer thread !!! To be honest cannot see many additions or players leaving. Perhaps one.
Replacing Cedric would be a good place to start. His head has gone or he doesn't care any more. Selling him to one of our rivals might be a very smart move.
I actually thought he was good in the first half. He made a few mistakes and got caught too far forward much more regularly in the second half, nevertheless your point of strengthening this position as a priority to me is a very valid one.
Great first half and fair play to Norwich for making a game of it in the second. We looked nervy toward the end but in truth Norwich didn't deserve anything out of it. But I did fear a late equaliser - had to keep reminding myself that a draw would not take away the fact that it was a cracking game.
He played pretty well in the first half, and nearly scored in the second half. But obviously he’s still Cedric, so he went missing occasionally (like for their goal)
And again before Byram’s shot at the end. Valery isn’t yet the answer, so we almost need a complete back line in January.
We know we won’t get it though. Tbf, if we intend playing 75 minutes of every game in our opponents half, there will always be times when our defence gets exposed. At least it looks like Ralph has settled on his preferred CB pairing. LB is more of a problem than RB imo, because we don’t seem to have anyone to challenge Bertrand for his place. At least we have goal scoring options now, and an in form striker. We actually look genuinely threatening in and around the opponents box, for the first time in a few seasons.
