Could be another later this afternoon if Everton get a pasting Saying that I think you should only be allowed 2 managers in any one season Watford looking for a third
Won't make a shred of difference to their season in my opinion. They've been on a downward trajectory for a while now, sacking managers left and right doesn't help.
The only way to get any time in a job is to take a struggling team and hope to either keep them safe or go down swinging and hope you have enough to come back up other than that have any managers other than those who bring their teams up and consolidate in the EPL managed more than 18 months at their teams - Bar Poch recently and even then there are some who don't! Who are the longest serving managers now? Eddie Howe at Bournmeouth, Nuno at Wolves, Wilder at Sheffield, Sean Dych at Burnley?
Ok looked it Up bar Pep and Klopp I am pretty much there - 38 managers across the 92 League Clubs have last longer than a year, so basically you have a 50-66% chance of receiving your P45 within a year of starting your job being a manager.
Its the one advantage of managing a club that Ashley owns. You have to be McLaren-level incompetent to get him to pay out a redundancy package.
Watford are having a laugh. I don't think the Managers even give a **** now. Being sacked by a club is really of no damage to a reputation these days. It's a real life merry-go-round or revolving door... whichever you like
That depends. Sometimes it's clearly not down to the manager, But I guarantee when Silva is sacked he won't manage a premier league club unless he gets one promoted.
Or Hughton level apparently?? Man, there was a time in the Ashley era were a manager getting us sitting in 12th wasn't good enough.
He has been a one season wonder at every job he's ever had. He did about half as good at Watford as Bruce did at Hull and therefore was a worth sacking Allerdyce for. It holds up that a foreign name makes it easier to get a managers job in England.
