They are. My mrs was at London Bridge tube yesterday when this happened (the underground station is some distance away and under the Shard) and I was worried for her. When I saw the footage of him being gunned down I didn't blink. But killing him to stop further deaths is right, killing him for revenge is not. I don't care if someone is too moronic to see past their own need for revenge that they can't understand the correlation between martyrdom and future terror attacks. And btw, a terrorist attack every 2.5 years, is that worse than the 70s? 80s? 90s? No. We are fortunate that actually, there has been some level of coordination between media, police and government to avoid the glorification of past terrorists. That works. Hanging people in public or even private takes away a moral high ground that is all that stands between us and more of this. Every bit of ammo you give converts a thousand new disciples to their warped approach. So yeah, you can hang them, burn them and feed them to pigs, but you'll be literally, at that point, ensuring that we suffer many more attacks than just once every few years.
Perhaps we should stop punishing them altogether ... .... by your logic that should eventually stop them becoming terrorists altogether.
Adulterer, wife beater, racist, homophobic, liar, conspiritor to commit GBH and Pound Shop Trump Boris is on Andrew Marr politicising the tragic deaths of these two innocent people now. The man has no shame.
While it is an awful thing that has happened , why isnt the massive number of stabbings occurring in the uk over the past couple of years getting the same amount of attention/scrutiny? Is it because there is an election soon and the word 'terrorist ' resonates with the undecided or independent. Already we have bojo saying there will be a review of early release of terrorists. Isnt it true that the likelihood of reoffending is still way to high despite the offence originally committed. There will have been a whole host of people behind the signing off of Khan's early release as there are in all such cases. Is the man ( out on day release for strangling his niece ) now a hero or a piece of filthy vermin incapable of redemption. It's a slippery slope but if you are bojo ..who cares as long as it gets him re elected.
It is absolutely tragic that you feel this way. How anyone can look at what's going on and has been for the past 10 years and still vote Tory is quite frankly mental. It is also worth noting that Labour state they will put Brexit back to the people with a clear offer as the option, so this must vote Tory to get Brexit mentality is also absurd.
I think its equally tragic that anyone can be taken in by Corbyn. If Johnson is a liar, Corbyn is equally, if not more so. He is totally disingenuous, not the 'principled' man that the propaganda makes him out to be. His stance on Brexit is ridiculous as he's a noted Eurosceptic. His stance on the environment is shaky as his brother is a noted climate-change denier. The disrespect he has shown the armed forces is despicable. He has massive chips on his shoulder about anyone with a university education, and his (failed) private education marks him as being as far from the champion of the working classes as it's possible to get. I'm not saying that Boris is any better, but Corbyn is a charlatan of the highest order. Edit: anyway, this is about the terrorist incident so we should probably get off politics.
Just saying, seeing Johnson as a blustering self seeking fraud doesn't mean you've been taken in by anyone else. That one of those two will be our political leader, on the worldwide stage, makes me feel a little ashamed tbh.
I totally agree with you that it doesn't mean that. Somehow I managed not to quote the post above mine that it was in response to. Neither of them are fit to represent the country. We're at a really low ebb on the political front.
