    The fact that the only thing you have to celebrate this season seems to be beating a team two divisions below you (rivals or no) does suggest pity is due.

    Hey, don't get me mistaken, despite my love of the NFL, I am no plastic and remain committed (in more than one sense of the word) to PFC. I just find it a complete breath of fresh air to support a team in a competition where teams rise and fall on their own merits and isn't a corrupt, elitist joke like football is here... Even if according to Saintmagic, the team we support is cursed

    Though as a spectacle, I'd say American football is more compelling than football in general.

    I'm just yanking your chain PL, there's no point in being plastic if there's no glory to hunt.
    You'll never sell me on NFL though, I've only got room for one sport and one team so I've got no choice but stick with football. Plus I've watched NFL as I'm sure I've mentioned, and I hated it.

    American football isn't for everyone. It's like the difference between rts and tbs games, with American football being tbs and football being rts. I personally like both (though there hadn't been a good rts in ages, hopefully aoe4 will change that) but some people like one or the other which is fine. Each to their own.

    As a fan of NY Giants, and of Saints, this has been a depressing football season.

    My dad, who is Welsh and not into football, was very keen on American Football in the late 80s and early 90s and I have kept up that interest. Football is my first love though.

    I’m having a bad season too as i follow the Falcons. More though so I will have something to discuss with my grandsons though as I can’t see them liking ‘soccer’ when they get older.
