The diminished numbers will keep the booing down if they keep losing.......

When you're team's full of lemons...and all that.

Emery can't bring on a substitute, it would reduce the crowd by about 25%

Arsenal lost to some Germans lead by an Austrian called Adolf H., due to an unexpected attack from Japan.
Any managers called Winston out there?

Winston Bogarde is currently assistant at Ajax II.
    I'm sure he'd do a better job.

As I have said before :

Red sky at night, shepherds delight.
Red seats at night, 59,000 attendance.

Has Winston Silcott been released yet? Now there's a man for the job.

It was as sure as day following night, the first manager after a dynastic manager always goes quickly.

Emery was an unsuitable appointment and a 'Moyes' in waiting. I wonder if the raft of DoF's , recruitment people, etc.that the club's stuffed with, are going to get off scot-free? They ****ing shouldn't.

Methinks the Pochettino sacking emboldened the Goons to act similarly.
Their PL form is similar, and while an EL final is still a possibility,
they do not have the kerching that qualifying for the CL KO stages brings.

Will be very interesting indeed to see how the PL form of both clubs fares
between now and the start of the UEFA tournament KO stages.

This has a fair chance of being true, in as much as they would have contemplated what would have seen as sacrilege a few short months ago. However, it's unlikely that a paid employee would have picked him. He's now a gamble that an owner has to take and Kroenke's not that owner.

As much as the fans want attacking football, Kroenke and his band of advisers want the nightmare to stop and to start winning football matches. The next appointment has to draw a line in the sand and see them drop no further. As it stands, they're likely to miss out on CL football (barring a EL win) and their 2 best players are rumoured to be looking where to go next.

Whilst appointing Mourinho is selling your soul to the devil in the long term, the short term is hard to look beyond, especially when things look like falling apart. It shuts up the negative press and for all Mourinho's issues, immediately he stops any disaffection in the dressing room. He will sort out those who need lifting and those who need to be shipped out.

Also, he knows the PL, which is a big issue when those in charge of player recruitment have been buying players who are struggling to adapt or just aren't suitable. Trying to fix the defensive problems with Sokratis and Luiz is just a pile of **** and Pepe looks enormously overpriced.

Will Allegri be able to adapt quickly from the easy gig at Juve? It's not a given.

Whilst he knows the league, rebuilding's not really Ancellotti's thing. He'd not be my pick either.

It looks like Nuno Espirito Santo is their first choice. I can see why but taking over a struggling Arsenal mid-term is a BIG job. Let's hope it's beyond him.....<laugh>

I've seen a couple of reports suggest that Emery was in charge of training this morning, then once it was finished they called him in and sacked him

There's a hell of a lot I don't like about how we handled sacking Poch, not least Poch having to call Hugo and tell him to let the other players know what happened via the players' WhatsApp, but this just seems cack-handed

But apparently not true. The journalist that reported this has said he now knows that Emery was sacked before training.

    Fair enough

Still cack-handed, though, if he was at the training pitch when he received his marching orders
