why players still bother using twitter is beyond me with the amount of trouble they get in.

I actually like the lad...Great player and seems genuinely a decent kid BUT the irony of his original post (about double standards) is so perfect, I'm almost glad he's been let off!

The reason he has been let off is solely because he is young and english. Ryan Bable got charged and fined for insulting the standarding of referee only a few short weeks ago.

The F.A. really has become a joke. It has it's favourite clubs and favourite players who are protected no matter what they do. It needs to change as they are meant to represent the entire nation, not just some elite clubs.

Are you claiming the FA are inherently racist?

I'll happily investigate, create a white paper based on the findings and exonerate the FA if the money is right.

Racist? That is a highly strong word. To phrase it better, they simply look after their own and their favourites. And it is not hard to deny it, eg Wilshire let off yet Bable fined, Barton constantly chased and charged with anything possible but the likes of Gerrard, Rooney etc are protected and excused for.

If a player is part of the England set-up, you will find they are protected from any punishments quite quickly.

Oh. I'm not saying they are.

I'm willing to investigate it and prove them not guilty for a fee.

I'm a fan of all paper colours, sizes and grades though I do find graph paper to be irritating.

At the risk of seemiong like a official-dom toady, I think the FA's decision is correct.

Wislhere said that the referee was inconsistent and made a serious error. That is an opinion he's entitled to. Babel effectively said that the referee was actively supporting ManU, which is effectlvely calling him dishonest. There is a huge difference

Freddd, you have a point, but I think the issue is less whether the FA are correct (I actually agree with you to an extent) but more, would it have been the same 'correct' decision, has it been someone else involved?

I just think it is not the player's prerogative to question the referee. If the club wanted to make a complaint there are official, formal channels to go through. It is not up to a teenager on a socail networking site to voice his own, misspelled, opinion. Freddd, he did also go on to effectively say the referee was using one set of rules for Newcastle and one for Arsenal, citing the Nolan/Diaby incidents. I think that he is entitled to an opinion as we all are, but he is not entitled to voice it to the public. I don't see how that is any different from Babel.

Letting the lad off for his twitter comments is clearly part of a dark F.A. plan to undermine Arsenal. They are hoping to lull them into a false sense of security over twitter stories so that they can hit them even harder next time it happens. Disgraceful.
