Also, what was going on with Mo and Coolibah Tree in the box? It looked like he had his arm round Mo's neck but nothing was given. I was watching a foreign stream so don't know what the commentators said about it. I have to add my voice to those who said the ref was appalling. It's not just ours, after all.
The commentary team i watched said the ref was consistent, which is a fair assessment. He was consistently ****e
Please let’s hope fabinho is ok. He’s the only one of Klopp’s trusted midfielders who isn’t a donkey.
This is my biggest concern. I’d have gladly lost the game rather than suffer any mid-long term injuries
Ditto. In fact, if Saltzburg beat us (I make it 75/25 that they will), I'm hoping Genk can take our place in the Europy. That or we really do put the kids out for the first knockout round.
‘The Fabinho injury is massive,’ the German told BT Sport. ‘That’s the biggest thing from tonight. It’s still early and we all hope it’s not too serious but it’s pretty painful in an area you don’t want to have pain.
Our total inability to keep a clean sheet is really beginning to put a strain on us since we pretty much always need at least 2 to win.
It goes to head to head results. So if we lose 5-4 so we would progress on away goals scored (8-8 on aggregate) but any defeat where we score less than the 3 they scored at Anfield and they would progress.
We had a bent ref for the Napoli game, and we have a bent ref for Everton, so the chances of another bent ref for Salzburg is relatively low
Still fuming after last night. Their goal came from a deliberate foul on VVD. As I said last night, their goal scorer started the move with a cynical elbow to VVDs side. He looked sideways lining him up, his feet never left the ground. He knew he could not beat Virgil fairly so he tried a cynical foul and got away with it. Mo was mugged around the neck, a stone wall penalty but not given. Both these fouls were game changers. They were blatant fouls but the ref had a mare. I hope Fab is not out for long
