Anyone know who’s out of co tract in the summer? Looks as if it’s a case of (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) get through this season and rebuild in the summer AGAIN...
Contract dates here: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sunderland-afc/kader/verein/289/saison_id/2019/plus/1
mcGeady, Watmore, de brock, Mcnulty, Mcguire, Flanagan, Ozturk, O Nien, Benji Kimp, all may-June next year contacts run out. So who will go or stay ? i want Watmore, mcnulty, Benji, O Nien, and Mcgeady to stay.
Yup, there aren't many players in this division or league two that get longer than a two year contract.
Definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result ( einstein ) An oft used quote on here and elsewhere. Ross brought in at least 6 centre backs, 5 strikers, and at least 6 midfielders . Add 8n de bock, o9, c mcglaughlin, and 2 gk's and we have 2 teams in 3 windows. Look where it got us! A team of wimps that choked at 2 finals. His teams couldnt or wouldnt play attacking creative football. PP has inherited this big bag of 5hite and if it were possible is looking as 8nept as Ross. Why on earth would bringing in more players change things? We need shot of donald, hill, coton and parkinson first up. But we all know this wont happen. Besides free agents arent free in the literal sense. Signing on fees, agent fees and wages all add up and in this league end up being the same as if you paid a transfer fee. Those believing that maddison from posh would be our saviour.. get help. He is as good as he is ever going to get and his best years are behind him. Paying 2m+ for him is a fools errand. Like grigg, he is a late 20's player. No resale value and unable to cut it in the c'ship. Let's expect to donald to cough up 5m for him in the jan window no doubt.
It's ironic you should use that Einstein quote against other people because every time you post I'm reminded of it. The same rant with the same criticisms and what do you expect to change from day to day when you post it? It's like living in a really boring version of Groundhog Day.
McGeady has another year, he signed an extension last summer and we have an option on O’Nien so hopefully he will stay too.
