I think it's fair to say that today hasn't been a good day for Jezza, this from The Independent sums up his mauling from Brillo. On the plus side for him Boris could end up just as skewered when it's his turn...

 

Why didn't he just say "sorry"! people would have then thought differently of him. Now once again he is asked an important question and cant answer it? unelectable. No way can this man get anywhere near No10.

 

The bit I took from all that was Bill & Ben the flowerpot men will be a good government, closely followed by Gary Lineker and his friends at Walkers.

 

He never will, it would contradict everything he has stated in the past and continues to do so even when it is so blatantly obvious. Every opportunity he has had to engage with the Jewish community he has declined and had even been on his allotment on one occasion. He couldn't be more pointed if he tried...

An Aussie acquaintance of mine was recently telling me how Oz opened itself up to US Pharma a few years back and was now hostage to pricing. I forget the figures, but prescription charges have increased massively.

I can understand the concerns with the NHS and Boris will have to tread very carefully.

 

Agree. Boris has said we will not be selling the NHS at any cost. He needs to back up these quotes.
We have been selling bits of the NHS off to the US for years. They are moving forward quicker than us in medicines and technology so we need to have those links.

This is all about diverting attention from the anti-semitism scandal. Once again today he had the chance to apologise and once again he side stepped.

 

It's Pharma that's the main concern, I think.This is from a freely available document stating the US's objectives in UK trade negotiations.

Full market access for US Pharma would mean massively increased costs to the NHS and for prescriptions, I would expect.

It's the other way round, Ellers. The antisemitism row is all about diverting attention from Labour's case on the NHS.

 

Both commentators on the news said that they have been 'sitting on this for some time' and it takes attention away from the 'gruelling' Corbyn got yesterday.

 

The NHS is a real issue in the election. Labour antisemitsm is an overblown sideshow.

I can state re the Big Pharma thing as spent 25 years in the industry. Ellers stated that the U.K. was now behind the U.S or words similar to... What a joke that is they pull the strings globally
