Now that the fallout ash is now starting to shroud our shoulders, we need the Phoenix to lift us out. The board has got to reflect, cuts it losses and hand the reins over to our new 'investors', who in turn will pay good money for a manager who has a 5 year plan to get us to where we dream. In the short-term get some free agents in to stem the ash. Then have a cohesive policy of buying to become champions, not relying on waifs and strays.

So free agents wont be waifs and strays?
People keep blaming players but it's the managers. The last one was bloody hopeless and this one is cut from the same cloth.
The head of football operations hill is at the apec of this hopelessness and he is being enabled by dodgy donald and mealy mouthed methven.
If bowyer, stendel or nathan Jones had our squad last season they would have romped home.
Bowyer especially had a very thin squad, no money and a disinterested owner . In the final charlton made us look like a non league outfit.
Get rid of the managers and owners before talking about new players.
Ross and PP could have had messi, ronaldo, van duyk, harry kane etc and would still fail.
Ross may be young but his football is dinosaur stuff, PP is no better.

Are you on some long-winded and very tedious wind up?
Do you understand what goes in to being a football manager? You do comprehend that the players are independent beings not controlled like puppets by the hand of the manager?
I agree that there were probably more suitable appointments than Parkinson but the facts are that good players make good managers. Any honest football manager will tell you that a manager can make approximately 10% difference to any given group of players (there are exceptions but let's work on generalisations for now). The difference is made by bringing in better players, which Parkinson hasn't had the chance to do yet.

He's just done the same on the other thread about Kevin Phillips. He's blatantly here for no other reason than to upset the dynamics of this board. Surely it's only a matter of time before the mods step in. Constantly disrupting a board seems a fair enough reason to at least remove his privileges from this board if it's not worthy of a total site ban.

People keep shouting about this but Donald is clearly not going to leave without sorting out his own interests, and the americans are clearly not going to pay enough in the short term to make a sale work for Donald.

FPP chose not to invest in us for reasons unknown. They chose not to buy us and we have to accept that. Charlie brought them to the table through contacts, and invited them to make a takeover bid, which they declined to do in the end. Instead they agreed to loan us a trivial amount and we're hoping that by seeing progress, they'll be compelled to make a bid for us before something else comes up.

FPP might one day be our owners, but it's pretty unrealistic to expect Donald to walk away and take a loss, nothing he's done suggests that's a realistic proposition.

  6. That's alright provided Donald has a clear, workable and cohesive plan to quickly make the progress required to ensure that he doesn't have to take a loss.
This from the worst position in 140 years of history.

We appear to have 'bizarro' phoenix.....someone in charge of the whole shebang who likes to fly into the flames rather than rise out of them .
Reading through various social media it is very very difficult to read anything or anyone who has anything positive to say about PP, SD or the playing side generally.
If those 2 walked away tomorrow it seems no one would give a 5hiney 5hite. Former players who usually try to keep positive and act sycophantly toward the club are also very scathing about what is going on.
We can only hope that the loan safc have recently secured doesnt 'disappear' in the same way that the loan (secured by very senior club figures) at bury fc did shortly before they crashed and burned.

It feels like an episode of Phoenix Nights at the moment complete with Ricky Gervais as the comedy character.
