ALL parties do this and have been doing this for decades at elections and referendum. ALL politicians are liars and corrupt to a certain extent. The only way for real change is if no one actually votes at all because these politicians will have to take note.

There will be more lies than ever at this election because Brexit is still the main talking point and there are a lot of politicians who have to promise the world to make up for going against the majority of their constituents by changing their mind on not implementing the Brexit result.

On the face of it the tory party has more chance of getting through 5 years [if elected with a working majority ] without a massive debt at the end whereas no professional body can see if labour do as they say they wont have brought the country to its knee's with massive debts ..higher individual taxation .. and the likihood most of what they said and "started to spend on" had gone tits up.
Again you do not seem to be able to appreciate that the last 10 years has been getting rid of the massive debt Labour left .. although you answer yourself by stating the above regarding your house! which is similar in a way to taking on a mortgage, not telling the Building society you already have debts of more than the value of your house and then to pay off the mortgage and the previous debt you have to pull in the belt and go without …. or borrow more to not go without … simples...
The tory government said 2 we will have to draw in our belts and for 9 years we did, and everyone had to suffer … and I for one in last 10 years or so of my life don't want to again and I doubt most of the others on here don't either …. I fell foul of the " new Labours promises" before and haven't voted for them since Corbyn could be the closest we come to communism!

no but everyone in range should duck ………..

I think he said [corbolliks that is ] he would get a new deal ..put it to the people with an option on the ballot paper to remain … when something is said within the context of an answer and has to be delivered without consultation or not knowing what Q was coming and when it is usually the answer from the heart/gut! SO he stated effectively he wants to remain ……..

Couldn't have put it better myself!!
They keep harping on about the tax on the most wealthiest..which won't touch the sides to what they intend to spend......it's all good until one has to pay it all back..

Wow, Corbyn has just been annihilated by Andrew Neil.......could not answer, where the money was coming from to pay for all his pledges..
Could he answer, if the 0.1% of the richest , who will be paying stupid amount of tax....he won't get that revenue if they leave the country...... he couldn't understood that question!! Was defiantly in the same class as Abbot!!

recorded it to watch later after watching the first 5 mins on Semitism … his instruction for tonight looked like he was to adopt a "casual position and talk very quietly as if he knew what he was talking about" I bet all the practicing over the past few days was blown out of the water when the anti Semitism was headline stuff today! . will enjoy later

Just seen it. Wow! Annihilation is an understatement. This interview should really scare voters because I would be scared stiff if he becomes PM.

He also could not answer if he had the chance to take out the ISIS leader to keep our country safe, would he take that chance. All he said it was a hypothetical question so won't answer it.

As for not understanding that if some of the richest leave the UK - just the 0.1% - then that will stop how he will fund everything. He just said why would they want to leave because they would benefit from a strong economy. They will leave because they pay a lot already and won't want to pay any more and the economy won't be so good when we will be in so much high debt with all his plans.

He couldn't accept that nationalising things such as rail for example will create more debt. He thinks it will just be paid in bonds.

He was asked about the lack of action against racism in his party and he couldn't handle it. He just said all racism is wrong.

He also could not answer how he will fund the WASPI women. Eventually he said will be funded from reserves and borrowing more money. And then he admitted there isnt nowhere near enough in reserves so will be just borrowing more money.

He will be borrowing so much money that our country will be on its knees.

I found his responses embarrassing for a party leader and I cringed so much. If he becomes PM, we will be in so much trouble.

I can't wait to the grilling Boris gets for his interview. Has anyone else had an interview yet or is it just Boris and Corbyn?

The debt that was left wasn’t down to Labour it was a world banking crisis.

how sad .. we were in the **** before that …. the banking crisis was peanuts in relation to the debt that was there .. that's why Bliar bailed out ..

Watched the whole thing and he was on a pre amble of what he was "taught to reply to certain questions" he even asked if he could be grilled on a couple of specific things as he had most likely been practicing his reply ….
The serious dangers were abject failure to state he would defend against terrorism … answer was getting close to "maybe we should negotiate with ISIS"
Failure to take the opportunity to apologize for his failure to stand against the anti Semitism … had the audacity to say he has spent his life fighting against it .. then when confronted by 2 or 3 peeps getting away with a note! said when he came into power tightened up [ not expecting after asking for proof or date for one to be presented ] shocked when given the date of a case history and replied "it was a few months ago"
has no real aim to pay out WASPI monies ... [ just wants their votes ] only answer was going to take it out of the government reserve …… hang on ….. he is borrowing £ 100's of bn …. spending even more on what we currently pay in tax [ the countries income ] so where is the reserve? Cant be gold last LABOUR government flogged that off last time in power… then it wouldn't be paid in one go but over 10 years …..
NO person under £80k a year would suffer more tax … then exposed for this lie … that poor pensioners on £14k would get hammered for extra tax amounting to £400 pa
Is going to NOT personally going to campaign on a referendum ..but accepts that the party will elect someone to because his whole cabinet will be remainers!

how he can actually get up tomorrow and say I am worthy I will never know he is a a bigger Liar than a previous labour PM … if he fails to get 270 seats I can see him being chopped, and SHOULD THE OTHER PARTIES WANT TO TEAM UP WITH HIM they must be overtly desperate …

Waffling doesn’t change reality, the debt crisis was down to a global crash. I assume the rest of your reply was regarding Corbyn , I haven’t watched Andrew Neil yet , but I did watch him interviewing Boris and he didn’t do well either.

I’ve already said I’m no lover of Corbyn , although he isn’t half as bad as you make out , and Boris is almost as much waffle as you.

Nicola Sturgeon on Monday night who was also annihilated by Andrew Neil.....Boris could be interesting as he doesn't hold back and has a way of making one sound stupid if his question isn't answered!!

It will be interesting to see how Boris goes about it and how Andrew Neil tackles him.

Perhaps it's his chance to put a few wrongs right, a meaningful apology to Muslims and Gays for dubious past comments, clean up the mess with regard 50K nurses and be clear, concise and honest unlike the other cretin.

The main qualification to become a politician ...........a "masters" in avoiding to answer, direct questions. And they wonder why the people don't trust them!!
I know he's not everyone cup of tea but Nigel does answer more than most, in all fairness to him...
