I didn't jeer or boo the players but I understand the frustrations. The fans tried to support them as you say despite the absolute incompetence generally tonight, Saturday.... infact for the last year really. Their goal, like most of our problems was our own doing. A hopeful hoof up to Grigg when there were more obvious and easy options available. Then a total lack of effort defending their resulting attack. It summed us up. They then almost scored another immediately after which again was just horrendous. At the minute we have no plan. We hoof it to Grigg. I feel for Parkinson because he knows we need more pace and power but we're going backwards and the uninspiring managerial choice means the mood is only getting worse. The fans were even cheering/clapping Grigg tonight because I think people finally started to realise and feel sorry for him because the rest of the team is so blatantly hopeless and did nowt but hit it long.
Fake news. At no point were we playing generally well and the crowd or at least the south stand tried to create some atmosphere early in the second half only to be undone by the ****e on the pitch. Are you Methvens sleeper account?
I have to disagree, we were getting a bit of control, albeit without much action, for about 10-15. Then they scored and we collapsed.
Sorry smug but I wholeheartedly disagree. I watched our players, who had the crowd on side in the second half, look confident and comfortable without being dazzling. Every one of them except Hume and O’Nien shrunk about 6” after the crowd turned. I agree things have been awful but booing the players is never a way forward. Regardless of anything wise it’s detrimental to them. You can’t imagine it makes them want to playboys Hollywood ball which might create a goal? Especially if the crowd get on their backs fir overplaying it. The defence didn’t dare try passing the ball firward after they scored. It was toxic and I saw it physically effect them
We need to stopped blindly defending O’Nien mate. He was a part. He faded at least as badly as everyone. I don’t wanna come across as if I’m trying to pick out the lad but can we please stop blowing chunks up him. I’d run all night if I played for Sunderland, I wouldn’t be good enough either. Nobody is beyond reproach.
12th in Division 3 and you're blaming the fans who turn up to games? I agree that Uri Geller is the problem.
5hrs each way on a coach to Wycombe, watching us get humped by Leicesters kids on a Tuesday night, getting a lucky draw against Coventry then being utter ****e again tonight. Aye, I'm disgusted in myself.
I thought this game was supposed to be played like men....not pussies. They get paid a sh*t load of money....have a bobby's job and then can't take criticism? They all need to grow a pair ffs. If I was Grigg and the ball was coming down to me with snow on it...I would do something about that on the pitch with my team mate. They practice before the game right? So who's at fault? Grigg, the manager, the others players....nahhh it's the fans for paying hard earned money to subsidize some f*cking millionaire...yeah right. Let's play a game where our team win and they accept all the plaudits but if we play sh*t.....nothing to do with us. Oh...hold on...if the club has been doing this for year after year we need fans you can still fork out for every excuse for our team to be sh*t under the sun. At the moment it's all totally unacceptable. Stewie my mate....you can defend the indefensible and the buck stops with you.
Where the **** did the Parkinson idea even come from? And to think we were against Ainsworth, flying top of the league with no budget. ****ing hell man.
12th equals our lowest ever position. the previous lowest was 12th - Marco's debut at RP v Chester - we lost 0 v 2
Mate, five years time and Ashley will ensure we are playing our derbies in the Conferance is assure you.
That's the quietest I've heard the south stand. It took a bunch of lads in the corner of the family section to start a bit chanting. Can't say I heard one embarrassing anti Newcastle chant either for a change.
