We are downsizing mate. Stewart Donald has cottoned on to the fact that it is not Managers or players that win games it is the positivity of crowds. He is ushering out the bad egg "rotten core" of supporters that are holding us back.

I know he tries, so did Wyke they're both equally useless. Did you see Kimpioka scoring the other day? Seemed to have his head on then.

I don't like players being picked on when they're trying but Christ don't keep on picking them to play if they're getting nothing done.

I agree on Grigg fwiw. He puts work in but we are literally playing without a midfield half the time. Whenever other teams have the ball you can see them picking us apart at will. ****ing Cov schooled us on Saturday, passed it around us at will and walked through as if our midfielders weren't there, which largely they weren't.

Parkinson is diabolical, the players are largely either not good enough or shot to bits in confidence. I don't think these two clowns and their hierarchy based almost entirely on 'jobs for the boys' have even the faintest idea how to run a club at this level.

You know, it’s hard to blame the players in a way.

The clubs fall from grace has been so extreme that we’ve ended up with players who have no business playing for a club our size.

The expectation and pressure far exceeds them. Genuinely they just aren’t good enough and they are shrinking by the week.

That’s not a defence of them, it’s a factual statement though.

When you think it can't get any worse and then the next fixture comes along. It was like someone flicked a switch just before the 2nd Burton goal and made our team go to pieces. Its a shambles from top to bottom. <doh>

There is merit in what you are saying. The club is a basket case, has in reality been in such a state, to varying degrees for decades and if you take each facet of the club in turn - it is obvious that the club is challenged in every aspect.

I've seen 9 relegations for example and 9 consecutive Wembley defeats. The **** stories and records associated with our club is the stuff of nightmares and I'm all out of suggestions as to how to remedy it.

the players have clearly gone and will not be responding to PP. Methven and Donald now have to sell up for the good of the club and themselves. they wont be making money out of SAFC.

Absolutely mate. I remember when we were due to play Leicester and Football Focus on the lunchtime did a massive piece about Ade Akinbiyi, the non scoring striker. How he couldn’t shoot and looked like he’d never score.

Cue 5pm and he’s scored the winner for them against us.

There’s hundreds of examples like this.

Yes I remember the game. It was an obscure kick off time from memory?

I can’t remember that part, might have been a 1pm or summat hence the focus on it.

You just knew it was gonna happen, and it did.

We are not playing a system that suits the players available, PP is sticking with failed tactics, and failed individuals, It will get worse unless radical changes are made, time is not on our side. And one or two players should be ready to play in the U23's until they find some form, if they are not prepared to do this they should be moved out asp. The club is taking a hit whatever they do with these individuals, and its time for change.

Methven doesnt have the money for change. He has had to borrow £10m for running costs and the parachute money goes at the end of this season. Its time for Donald and Methven to go. End of the road for this regime.

Ah the halcyon days of Premier League relegation battles. Now we we have Third Division relegation battles, all the fans fault though

I mean nobody actually said that but maybe if you say it enough times you'll convince somebody that they did.

Anybody surprised though? We only paid money for Grigg and peanuts for Dobson. Other than that we have had 3 transfer windows and a rebuilt squad of free transfers or players without a club. Hardly promotion material. Feeling sad tonight, not shocked.

I must also be delusional and have imagined the whole thread about it then. I did the same with Boris"s bus announcing spending £350 million every week building new hospitals when we don't have enough people to work in the ones we already have. Am easily led that's always been my problem.

Sadly 26,000 loyal supporters who went, on a cold damp Tuesday night, to watch their team now get put into the mix for the failures on the pitch. Trying to create atmosphere in a just over half full 49,000 seater stadium is always going to be difficult. Playing decent attacking football always helps.
An opportunity was missed after Ross departed, we are now in uncharted waters and I am at a loss in trying to understand how it has gotten to this.
Hats off to those that turned out for the team last night, let’s see what happens at the Gillingham match.
