No. But that seems the most likely scenario.

No, but only because I don't see Bolton and Sunderland being in a Champions Lge battle, better for us to beat our (potential) challengers.
I ignore the rivalry factor - beyond a few mins bragging rights over a pint it means very little....

  4. No because three out of five is not good enough. We need to be able to show we can take anyone on. Losing to Chelsea or Spurs won't help our confidence. If we played like we did in the first half last Saturday, we'll have a chance. With a co-ordinated team we would be even better. Defensive coach needs to be brought in this week. A lot of folk are calling for Steve Bould to be brought up from the under 18 team or Martin Keown to be brought in. Is this on Arsene's to do list? It should have and should have been ticked.

No as even a draw v Spurs takes points off them also and is effectively a saving of a 3 points gap between us.
Need to be getting a draw and 3 wins ideally, anymore is unrealistic.

  11. I think a win against the Arsenal will give us the greatest confidence to go on an secure that 4th spot. I foresee Adebayor having the game of his life against your lot, because if he scores against you he will become an instant Spurs legend. He's got to fancy his chances against your defense, as have Defoe, VDV and Bale.

Having said that, with the North London derby, form seems to play less of a part than passion, and I am certainly expecting your lot to raise their game for that match. If they can't do that on derby-day, then you're really in serious trouble.

So if Mrs C just wants 3 points from the next 15, are you saying you would be happy

We need as many points as we can get IMHO but mashing potatoes and creaming Chelsea would be good for starters <laugh>

I think Grumpy is keeping a low profile after Saturday. Either that or the Nurse has overdosed him on Coco & sleeping pills again <laugh>

I agree with you on Ade, he will be going all out to stick it to us even thought he is the disloyal money chasing git.
Dangerous player though and will be a great signing for you guys if you can keep him sane and out of trouble..
I see he was already doing some sort of Fresh Princeof Bel Air type greeting rubbish with Bassong at the weekend... give me strength, if he would just keep his head down and work hard to prove himself as a footballer and cut the rubbish he would get alot more respect.
Himself and Eboue the muppet used to do my head in with their chicken dancing crap when winning nothing games, I dont mind a bit of fun but need to be actually achieving things before getting all flash and showing off..

  15. Oh and his larger than life ego needs mega massaging too.

I'm actually glad you got Ade for nothing Mr H since in a year or thereabouts you'll wish he wanted to leave..... ;)

  16. As I've said before, I've always rated Adebayor, and I could never get my head around why you guys hounded him out of your club. Sure, he made it clear that he wanted to win things, and didn't endear himself to your club or its fans with the way he went about things, but he's not different to the majority of players out there.

He seems to me to be one of those players who constantly needs an arm around his shoulders and to be told that he's loved, and is doing great things. Harry is absolutely best suited for that job, because he's a manager who manages with his hears more than his head most of the time.

    We'll see, Mr RvB.

That is my only worry, that his emotional temperament will finally trigger the kinds of tantrums that he's been accused of throwing in the past. But his being in our team has already benefitted us greatly in so many ways. It's not just his skill and predatory instincts that has completely reversed the dire strike rate of our strikers last season, it's also the effect he has had on the rest of the team, especially Defoe and Modric. I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that Ade is one of the influential factors in Moddy's turn around and re-settlement back into the squad. Ade is the kind of quality player that Moddy would have been looking for us to acquire, as a sign of our intentions to get back into the CL.

There is absolutely no doubting that Harry is very good at building a team with great comradeship, expelling disruptive influences that might upset the morale of the squad (such as Taarabt, for example), and I'm hopeful that Adebayor will thrive in that environment.

I certainly don't think it was the fans who hounded him out, though he caused alot of friction with his own BS and upset the dressing room with his behaviour. Arsene and the board are the decision makers, he could have been kept, problems could have been ironed out and I did not agree with his sale unless we were going buying another top replacement, We chased the cash again though and made a bucket of notes. But alls well as we got Chamak on a free and he's quality, Bendtner is world class also in his own head so I think it was well handled..
I don't think it was anything to to with winning thing Hoddle, he wanted a big pay rise which he was supposedly promised and never got, tropihes were never the guys motivation, no offence he would not have joined Spurs if it was to behonest.

It would be an improvement on 16 points from our last 16 games, making us relegation form at present.

I think we will draw with bolton, lose to spuds, lose to sunderland, beat stoke and lose to chavsku.
