First half awful, we didn't shoot, close down quickly enough, we were just so poor. Second completely the opposite and once Bowen put that great strike in it was all us, in fact another few minutes and I think we would have won it. Overall happy with a point after been 2.0 down but inconsistently has cost us all 3. A point away from home is always good but then you have to win your home games.
Way better opposition Wednesday by all accounts...but we have important players returning and we’re at home. January will be the key for me. Keeping hold of Bowen won’t be easy. The lads quality and just the sort of striker any club with real ambition will pay big money for. On the flip side McCann proved today he can sort things out albeit against 10 men. Would like to see him make another raid on the transfer market or perhaps even a loan deal. Been here before ...haven’t we?
We weren't at the races first half, different scenario second half though. Even against 10 men, credit to the boys for finding a way through a packed defence, which often is not the case. I was pleased for both Batty & Bowler who had a positive impact on the game. I'd be inclined to go with Batty instead of Lopes Wednesday. Lopes is a talent, but like with most young players they have their ups and downs performance-wise. I guess it will be a toss-up whether Terry goes for Bowler on the right and Jarrod as a false number 9 or just replace Eaves with Magennis on Wednesday? Still, a point from being 2-0 down can never be sneezed at.
Jarrod's goal from the replay angle from behind him really is a great shot, both football and camera wise.
Very much so I would say, and also the most irritating manager as well. I was behind the away dug out the last time I say PNE at home, and he never stopped moaning to the 3rd official and calling for a foul ever tackle me made. What a twat the guy is.
Magennis straight back in. Give Kamil a rest, start with Bowler (with Kamil an impact sub if needed). Sorted. More difficult knowing what to do with midfield. Batty was class 2nd half.
To be honest I did watch until half time but a pressing jobs led me outside. It didn't stick in the first half though. Maybe it did in the second?
TBF, it did. I remember sometime, think it was fairly late on, saying "hell, he's actually held it up and laid it off".
