untill this season bbc coverage has not been a problem for people living in pembokeshire, all swansea matches were covered by the east west airwaves split, but this year its changed to coverage to swansea AREA,which means on away games,im reduced to listening to cardiff games, who they now seem to give blanket coverage too.i have carefully worked out my work rotas for the season,so that im obviously able too attend home matches, but have to rely on the radio in work for the rest, can anyone tell me does anyone else do a live commentry on maybe a digital channel?(swans player no good no internet access in work)

I don't know if you get it, but Swansea Sound is 1170mw. They have all games... You could try DAB which gets Swansea Sound as well.

Just to warn you Swansea Sound is so biased it makes you cringe!

When listening to the Arsenal game he spent 10 minutes talking about how he got the parking space nearest to the ground and was treated like a guest - not sure if anyone else heard that it was awful!

I had to stop listening to the SS commentary when I was back home because they spend more time talking about their lives than the football. Same with the Swansplayer too to be honest, not a fan of that. I quite like listening to it with the other teams commentators on Swansplayer though, you get a much better insight into how your players are doing from an opposition point of view.

Doesnt anyone think this is a sad state of affairs when the premier club gets less coverage than a championship club. come on the beeb there are other listeners in wales other than c***iff fans. lets get the coverage fair.

I certainly feel there is a huge bias towards Cardiff on the radio, maybe even anti Swansea with their coverage. I sometimes like to listen to the match on Radio Wales when I haven't been able to get to a match, and I want to listen to it on the radio channels with my tv supplier (Virgin) but it's always the Cardiff match on there. Last Season we played someone in the FA cup, Cardiff had played earlier in the day so I thought the Swansea match was bound to be on there, but NO! they had the Newport County match on there instead !! I couldn't believe it. I work in Cardiff and quite often on weekends so I cannot get any coverage of the Swans in the office. SUCKS. I thought this season would be different now we are Wales only Premier League club, but nothing has changed.

Isn't there a FM and Medium Wave option?

Swansea sound is usualy good though....However, what annoys me is that it doesn't play the whole coverage to the game...Starts about 15 mins before match. I swear its like 30/45 mins coverage. They usualy do a good montage (is that the right word?) of the game before the goals and interviews etc...Which is always good to listen to.

I'm quite interested into getting into sports commentary, We've been having radio classes this week, and my friends dad is best friends with Motty, so trying to get myself in there!

Radio Wales is a joke I haven't listened to them in years, they are a disgrace.

Swansea Sound is very biased and sometimes they ramble but at least you get to hear about the game. If anyone has an iPhone / IPod touch or IPad there is a free app for Swansea Sound and for Not606 too
