What has changed since then to make labour so far behind. Surely they should be ahead as they have now abandoned the idea of leaving the EU and I assume you think that the reason it was so close last time wasn’t to do with their Brexit stance.

They're about as far behind now as they were last time. Three weeks is a long time.

They've done a U turn, and yet his acolytes still blame the media for Corbyn's unpopularity.

In 2017 the public were given an almost daily addition to Labour's plans which gave rise to the 'Magic Money Tree' jibe, the public aren't totally stupid enough not to realise that this time there are elements of the manifesto which are not credible cost-wise as the IFS stated. McDonnell rubbished the IFS but quoted them in support of the manifesto previously so he is contradicting himself again. All said and done Corbyn is the weakest link...

Nothing to do with Brexit then?

Granted, they were. Do you think that it has nothing to do with their stance on Brexit though?

They need to make the election about things other than Brexit, so the neutral stance is correct in my opinion. Most Labour supporters are anti-Brexit anyway.

If most Labour supporters are anti-Brexit and most Labour MPs (former MPs) are anti- Brexit, why do you think their neutral stance is correct?

Probably not as much as many think. But don't be surprised if in the last couple of days before polling if the Tories are well clear in the polls there may be an 'understanding' between Labour and the other opposition parties, I can't see them all walking blindly into a certain Tory win scenario...

Because there was a (deeply flawed and probably Russian influenced) referendum that came out on the Leave side. It would be wrong to just ignore it, but we need a re-run, which Labour is offering.

But I still don't understand why they wouldn't campaign to Remain now, or why they took their Leave stance in 2017

Why would they need to do that if Brexit isn't as important as you suggest?

It would simply be a stop Tories getting a majority agreement, they all want them out so that would be the best chance. God knows what sort of position we'd be in then but they would have achieved their aim...

I don't think in practice they can wait til a couple of days before the election. Something like that would need agreeing and organising constituency by constituency to have any chance of working.

They've all probably looked at the key targets already, it wouldn't do their chances overall much good if they all gang up now. They'll keep denying it and watch the polls, you never know there may be a late surge for Labour especially if Boris is caught making a major gaffe. In reality I wonder what we have done to deserve such a bunch of useless c*nts across the board...

They didn't take a Leave stance in 2017, they took an 'honour the result' stance.
