Suarez - 10 Enrique - 9 Coates - Too Early Downing - 7.5 Bellamy - Too Early Hendo - 6 Adam - 4.5 Carroll - 5 If you wanna elaborate, feel free.I wasnt a fan of the PRO British policy at the time, and still aint.Funny how Kennys best signins have been foreigners
Suarez - 8 Enrique - 8 Coates - Too Early Downing - 7 Bellamy - Too Early Hendo - 6 Adam - 6 Carroll - 5
I think Carroll's score is a bit optimistic, I would go for a 3.5 Downing for me would an 8 as other than the Spurs game he has been very good. Adam for me would be 5.5. Suarez would be a 9. Drops a point for being so unsporting at times.
Suarez - 9 Enrique - 8 Downing - 8 Coates - too early Bellamy - too early Adam - 5 Hendo - 4 Carroll - 4
Come on! 4 Games in and this comes out? Suarez 9 Enrique- too early Downing - too early Coates - too early Bellamy - too early Adam - too early Hendo - too early Carroll - 6
I agree with this. According to a lot of fickle fans on Twitter/facebook etc etc yesterday's performance was his fault. The only ratings i would rate low are Carroll and Adam.
nope thats even generous, the guy has been so poor. a pro mildfielder should no be making silly mistakes 4x on a trot like he has done on the last two games. it was the same mistakes that made him hasten the downfall of blackpool
Overall I think Hendo's done pretty well. He definitely looks like he can fit into the Liverpool style of play and be a big part of the future.
Some of the scores are a bit harsh IMO. Plus it takes time for people to settle down into a new club and a new style of football. Adam - A lot of people have slated Adam but I think he has been alright. In fact, his introduction has enabled Lucas to simplify his role to strictly DM without having the pressure to start attacks. Adam has been good and our midfield has been excellent this season apart from Spurs - 1 poor game out of 5 isn't that bad. Henderson - He has struggled to stamp his authority and get involved in games which was expected as he is still young. However, he has shown glimpses of good technique, good passing and getting stuck in. He also scored a good goal as well. He has certainly shown potential which is encouraging for the future. Carroll - The biggest worry for me. I do not rate him at all. His touch and control are dire, even for an amateur footballer. His game/style is so one dimensional and he still struggles to attack the ball when the crosses are coming into him. He is slow and doesn't seem to possess any sort of technique at all. It's no coincidence that we do not play well when he's playing (I'm not blaming him for Sundays defeat).
Suarez - would like to see him pass a bit more often and not flip out if someone don't pass to him. He doesn't infuriate me as much as Steve McManaman used to (running 25 yards with the ball to lose it to the opposition, may as well just take a good 20 yard pass) and he only needs half a chance to get a goal. 8 Enrique - Best left back we've had for ages, bit early to judge him fully, but a lot of others have so - 8 Coates - Too Early Downing - Not worth £20 million IMO, but puts the effort in, hasn't made too many mistakes and is a great crosser of the ball - 8.5 Bellamy - Too early, but i liked him in his last stint with us, as long as he didn't have a golf club in his hand. Hendo - 5 so far, sure he will improve, but for £16 million I would have rather had a midfield player who made more of an impact. Adam - Brilliant against poor teams as he can spray the ball about from midfield nicely when not under pressure, different story against better sides, cant tackle, deserved the red card, stupid to try and play 50 yard balls in high winds at stoke - 5 Carroll - 4 Has been awful for us, Reckon he would only ever play well for Newcastle (much like I don't think Gerra would be the same player anywhere else than liverpool). Would have rather kept the £35million and had Suarez, N'gog, Kuyt and Gerra as my forward options back end of last season. Coates - Too early, but I have high hopes for the lad, looked great in the Copa America.
I think Henderson is playing more games than he would have been expecting at this early stage of his LFC career due to Gerrard's injury. Henderson have shown glimpses of things that remind me a lot of Gerrard, like the run that set him through on goal against Stoke. Its just a shame his finish didn't match up, though Gerrard was not a major goal scorer at that age either. He keeps on fighting again and again, which he proved with his goal against Bolton. It didn't come of first time, but he kept at it and got his reward. His passing seems very nice to, as well as his work rate. I think he looks the part at Liverpool, and with time will become very good.
