3-2 FT. Spurs 3-2 Michael Antonio.
Good first hour, then returned to being the same shambles that we've seen for the last 10 months.
Desperately needed that win, but the attitude after going 3-0 up was awful and needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Mourinho straight onto the pitch at the end to tap up Antonio.

On the one hand we got the classic Steptonho win by a single goal

On the other hand, we were 3-0 up with less than twenty minutes to go...

**** me we made hard work of that - For an hour we were excellent but that last 30 mins was just more of the same - but an away win at one of our favourite venues was much needed.

Nothing to get excited about tbh, a good 40 minutes in the middle but not much going for us beyond that and those last 10 minutes plus stoppage time highlighted the problems are still there. As soon as a team shows the slightest energy and positivity against us we crumble. It was always going to take time though and the results are the most important thing in the short term.

Winks controlling the game....then Ericson subbed for Deli (why?). Winks gets lost.Ericson does nothing......and West Ham come into the game! Good goal by West Ham though.
Winks and Ericson do not blend!

I do think the subs weakened us: Eriksen isn't a player to bring on when you're up against it as he doesn't get stuck in like a Dele or Lamela would, and while Sissoko should have added some steel when he came on he was surprisingly poor even before he picked up a knock

Other than that, Dier confirmed what I've been saying for a while: great at breaking up play, but in a post-Kante world a DM needs to be able to be able to contribute to the attacking play, and Dier's passing is simply not good enough

Lots for Jose to get his teeth into.

But the real issue is that Spurs have gained 3 points and winning away. First obstacle is out of the way.

He needs more time to work his magic.

3 points all that mattered today. Should’ve looked so much better especially after the first 60 mins but I can forgive that for now. Jose’s had 3 days with the team so you can’t judge too harshly on those defensive mishaps. Fact is he’s 1 out of 1 and that’s our first away win in yonks. Take that all day long.

Saw a few foot stampings today. Seems to happen in every game these days. Don't remember seeing it in the past. Needs a red card to "stamp" it out!

Conceding as soon as they up the tempo and conceding right at the end suggests a concentration issue to me, a problem we created for ourselves in the last year.

Two periods of the game where you can’t sit on your laurels and expect to coast through and at both we were found wanting...easy fix for Jose...it’s up to the players to prove their quality in following the Managers orders because I believe this man has the answers
