My first home game was against Millwall and that ended 1-1 as well - how bizarre! Though mine was a couple of seasons before

Newcastle 1-0 Chelsea... Patrick Kluivert got the goal in the fa cup. Wayne Bridge broke his leg.

I remember that, Mourinho made 3 subs at half time to intimidate us (and therefore Bridge couldnt be replaced and they had 10 men). The subs? Lampard, Gudjonson and.... Duff! <laugh>

A friendly match away to Stoke 95 or 96 not sure 4-0 I think. I know we scored four cause Hislop was taking a goal kick in front of us and made a point of holding 4 fingers up as he took a goal kick. was a class taunt to the home support.

Spoke to one guy coming out of the game who had his 2 year old nephew with him, unfortunately the kid will be too young to remember his first game. Hope somebody buys a DVD of it for him and keeps it somewher safe until he's old enough to appreciate it.

Saw my first game when I was 6 and still remember it.

Newcastle 4 Reading 0 FACup 1968. Was only 9 yo but remember Pop Robson scoring and at half time two blokes in white coats walked round edge of pitch carrying board round with the score on. It was pelted with apple gowks and allsorts. Oh yes! And "peanuts , peanuts , tanner a bag". Blokes used to chuck a tanner from half way up the gallowgate end and a bag of peanuts would unerringly find it's way back! Amazing!

QPR @ St. James, won 2-1 in 96. Double from Beardsley, magical ! Remember a certain Ian Holloway scoring for QPR to put them 1-0 up.

    1971 Toon 0 Man U 1

The late great George Best had received death threats that day, but still managed to score the winner. I was torn between watching the action on the pitch or the fights on the terraces. Different times.
