Typical that the punishment for a club in dire straits financially is to fine them. I wonder what their chances of staying up are...ten or so points away from safety but three games in hand. Stranger things have happened. Picking up points now, good luck to them.
They have not lost the points they are suspended for 18 months pending any further miss deed as is half the £70 grand
Joke if it was funny, not many laughing in Bury, but one or two teams will be laughing at the end of the season Ipswich being one of them.
Whilst I agree with them not being hammered again with fines, I do wonder how the EFL will explain the seasons end if one of those 5-0 tankings leads to a promotion, relegation or playoff place being missed. Several teams got a massive GD boost which is absolutely farcical to the ‘integrity of the league’ the EFL chew on about. They are a shambles, little wonder the Championship are considering breaking away and becoming part of the FA with the Premier League. The FA and the EFL are like steak v cat food, VAR aside.
They should not have been played in the first place, the treatment of Bury and Bolton by the EFL was farcial. But I believe the EFL have appealed against the recent Bolton decision which was taken by the Independent Disciplinary Commision whoever they are. Its all a bit of a mess for sure.
