That comment about Corbyn finding more than one money tree was unnecessary but so typical of interviewers.
A very cheap shot.

 

Winchester should be within the Lib Dem grasp. It voted Remain in 2016. Also St Albans. The three way seat in our área has to be Portsmouth South.

 

Watching the debate and then seeing some of the responses on line makes you wonder how many people were paying attention. Corbyn never got out of second gear but I felt he was the clear winner and by a country mile. I still think Labour will shock the pundits and win this election and by a margin that few will have predicted.

 

This is my constituency and I think it will be a comfortable win for the Liberals this time around although I don't think the Loberals will actually make much of an impact nationally. It doesn't help that their leader sounds like Alice from "The Vicar of Dibley."

 

YouGov giving the debate 51/49 in favour of Pfeffel. Not how it appears because as a commentator observed prior to the debate most people think the winner is the one whose party they support regardless of performance. In this case with Labour polling in the 20's almost double their support thought Corbyn won. I just saw one Tory criticising Corbyn's specs!

 

To think there are still people stupid enough to vote for Boorish Johnson. No that is not a typo.

I think the problem is that the more Boris is in air, the less appeal he has. He is his own worst enemy.

Didn’t think the interviewer was much good. Johnson is just a master deflector. Tried to deflect everything onto Corbyn when asked a direct question. The man is a clown.

 

Ehh...Twitter polls are horridly unscientific, and really shouldn't be given any credence. This "the polls are fake!" stuff is really unseemly and serves only to create a delusional sense of confidence where there should be real urgency. The Tories are winning. If people don't do everything in their power to hinder them, including strategic voting, they will win a majority, full stop.

 

The absolute highlight of the night was Buffoon saying “of course the truth matters”, and the audience erupting with laughter.

Is there any chance at all of a single journalist running with that story this morning? Poor show if they don’t imo.

 

Further YouGov polling on last night's debate gives Corbyn a substantial win. Particularly a 59/25 score on being in touch with ordinary people. Pfeffel made a big mistake in agreeing to take part, probably a result of his delusions of competence. It will be interesting to see what they do now. Maybe he had the same advisor as Prince Andrew.

 

There were a few questions when I would have liked to have heard buffoon answer first. Questions that needed a touch of compassion and empathy in the answer were made easier for him as he piled onto Corbyn’s response.
After the Prince Andrew interview I thought buffoon was lucky not to be challenged on his “royal family are beyond reproach” comment.

 

He very carefully said “the institution of the monarchy” was beyond reproach. Implying without spelling it out, that individual members of the Royay Family certainly aren’t

Labour need a different way of delivering their Referendum message as the media have decided it’s not clear every time they repeat it. If a Govt ask the people a question, why do they necessarily have to tell them which way they want them to vote? If they’re so convinced of the best answer then don’t have a referendum. I think that’s what we call parliamentary democracy

Boris was let off when he said “look at my record” and went on to describe his promises, not his record, of more police, hospitals, doctors and nurses
