Swansea City v Millwall Competition - Sky Bet Championship Venue - Liberty Stadium Date - 23 November 2019 Kick off - 3pm Following their hard fought, but well- deserved 2-2 draw at Hillsborough against Garry Monk’s Sheffield Wednesday team, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swans’ squad is a home match against Millwall. Against the Owls, two injury time goals ensured a draw in a pulsating match at Hillsborough. Swansea led through Andre Ayew's goal but could not hold on and fell behind when Fernando Foriesteri pounced to level for Wednesday before Morgan Fox's injury-time effort looked like it had secured the win for Garry Monk against his former club. But Ben Wilmot levelled for the Welsh side by turning home Matt Grimes' corner to ensure a topsy-turvy contest ended with the points shared. As a result, Swansea are fourth in the Championship, with Wednesday seventh. Whilst the Swans were drawing in Yorkshire, substitute Matt Smith's late header gave Millwall victory over south London rivals Charlton at The Den. Gary Rowett's side took the lead when defender Shaun Hutchinson nodded in from Shaun Williams' free-kick after just six minutes. The Addicks levelled early in the second half when Jonathan Leko turned the ball in at the back post following a corner. But Smith proved to be the hero for the Lions when he rose to head Jed Wallace's corner past keeper Dillon Phillips in the 91st minute. Millwall rose to 15th courtesy of the victory over the Addicks. The Swans have played Millwall on 48 occasions, winning 20, losing 18 and with 10 drawn games. Last season, the Swans did the double over the Lions, and the corresponding fixture at the Liberty was settled via a George Byers goal - his first senior goal for the club. Turning to Saturday, the Swans are notoriously bad after an international break, and for that reason I’m going for a 1-1 draw. Hope I’m wrong and the Swans win
1-1 looks a good bet.. We are crap at home and we are crap after a break. i will be happy with a draw..
