Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has pulled out of Netherlands' squad for their final Euro 2020 qualifier due to personal reasons. Van Dijk led Netherlands to a goalless draw against Northern Ireland on Friday night, with that point enough to seal Euro 2020 qualification for the Oranje. However, Ronald Koeman will be without his captain for Tuesday's final qualifier against Estonia in Amsterdam.
TAA and Ox playing both England games when not necessary. Am most concerned that TAA gets no rest before a very busy schedule. Why the f*ck hasn’t Southgate used all of his squad over two games!?
Agree, not happy about Trent playing. Got a week off at least and hopefully taken off early. As for Ox, dont mind him getting some more minutes and getting up to speed
Only watched it because we're at the mrs' sister's. Dull as **** too. PS... first England game I've watched since we lost to Croatia!
TAA had a poor game for England this evening. Kosova were surprisingly good, unlike our defence who were very lucky on several occasions. 4-0 flattered England
The internationals are just 2 weeks of hoping nobody gets injured. Club football is of such a higher quality it makes 99% of internationals pointless
Pointless playing him really. He’s not the type of FB you tell to hold. Much more effective in the opposition half. That’s said, it looked more of a training game for him so hopefully not too taxing.
He's put a quality ball in from a freekick though, shame no one attacked it so the keeper just gathered.
It just shows how it's the system as much as the players that count. Obviously you need good players, but unless they're used properly a lot of potential is lost.
He’s changed his tune. He openly admitted that Alisson was a better keeper than him previously, perhaps not in those words.......
Alisson is clearly the better keeper, and I'm sure Mig knows that, but I suppose he's more pissed off with the time before that. I really can't understand how anyone at the club thought Karius was the better option - he never looked the part to me, even before we bought him.
Mignolet was ok. Nothing more. He was a good shot stopper but in Klopp’s system that was the minimum required. His positioning when playing a high line, and especially his distribution. Was poor imo
