Nice blokes good luck to him. Sure I read he will be "head coach" rather than manager.

Nice bloke, but very limited, once it started going wrong he had no idea how to put it right, this showed clearly after his first few months. Yes he deserves another chance, and I wish him well, whether we ever see him back in England again is another matter.

I honestly don't think any manager has a clue how to put it right with current squad. On paper it doesn't look too bad in comparison to other teams in Div One. But in the pitch it's a different story

I'm not sure if Ross would be interested in McGeouch he only picked him sporadically. I think he'd definitely want McLaughlin if he needs a keeper.

Bri, I agree we are probably a bigger draw in a lot of ways and HIbs isn't a step up but to be fair to them they average over 16k in a 20k capacity stadium and I think they are sold out of season tickets. Hearts are similar, both decent clubs with proper fans, history and a distinctly average team...hmm why does that sound familiar <laugh>

Wish him well. I'm quite sure he will look back on his time at Sunderland and think what if. I'm sure if he had took a bit more positive approach he might be still on a job at Sunderland. I think one of the finals at Wembley there was a spell when he had Gooch up front and likes of Wyke on the bench but as I said wish him well.

If the problem is that he's pining after Ross then the sooner he goes the better, I doubt it is though he's probably just having a rough patch. He was class last season so I'd keep him as backup. Burge seems to be a decent shot stopper but with better and faster distribution.

Yeah I think if he learned one thing it'd be to be more aggressive and proactive, he did clam up over time. It's a shame he didn't see it while he was here because we either won or drew every game and it would have turned some of those draws into wins if he'd opened up a bit.

Think he will do a great job for them.

Think he’d have been a great gaffer for us further down the line. Came too soon and he walked into a **** storm, and respect to him for trying. Remember, he knocked back then championship Ipswich for us.

Hibs is a smashing club for him, it’s a big club but without the falsely high expectation. He will be great there being steady and I couldn’t wish him any more good will.

He’s a gaffer who although I agreed should go, I don’t say he failed. He had a mess to deal with, he kept his class, his d’età of losing was about it being too much too soon.

I agree with what’s been stated, he will be back in England in a few years, at a good club and he will do well. I’ll be watching Hibs and I will be over the moon to see him do well.

I think he did a reasonable job here. He certainly gave it his all.

Before he came, we were a club which was used to losing matches. He made us very difficult to beat, which was a blessing, but he didn't get it right at the other end of the pitch, and that led to his downfall.

Likeable, genuine bloke, who I wish well. I also live in hope that he will take McGeouch, McLaughlin and McGeady back across the border, to allow Parky to restructure, and move us up the table.

The loss of Maja was the decisive moment in his time here, it was a cruel blow to Ross and the club, both suffered badly from it, but who was to blame, only those involved would know, but personally I don't think it was Jack Ross , I think he did all he could to protect Maja at the time, but the player was having none of it, and left regardless, that's why, unlike some, I do not wish him (Maja) well at all, and hope that chance, was his last, and that he lives to regret it.

Be hard pressed to find a gaffer who’s left a club with so much goodwill.

I was one who was sure it was his time to go but it felt like a real shame when he did. Funny one.

On Maja, I see he made his Nigeria debut.
