Benitez supposedly left Newcastle because the club didn't share 'his vision' ... ... if he comes back to the PL a vision will be the last thing on his mind, the fraud. This interview looks like the opening manoeuvre in pushing the Chinese to pay him off. He seems to have absolutely no love for the game.
Fairs fair, his vision was enormous wages way above his worth, and he was right, it was a vision the mags didn't share.
I’d love to see the Rafa vs Bruce stats. I said to all my mag mates before he got the job that he would do better then Rafa.
He played them like a fiddle. Win down to him, lose and it’s Ashley’s fault. Now if they win it’s because Bruce is using Benitez’s tactics if they lose it’s because Bruce is ****. I think there are some Mags who would rather their team failed than Bruce won games in case he gets better results than Benitez.
Here we go, what a surprise "West Ham will turn to long-term target Rafa Benitez if they lose patience with under-fire Manuel Pellegrini." https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-ham-monitor-rafa-benitez-20910081
Imagine if he came back this season, left for the vision but comes back in the same season with loads of cash in his pocket and a new premier league club He's already had their pants down he if does that he's ****ed them, wonder how many will say thank you
On the Chronicle website they are already starting the re-write of history. They didn't idolise him for his ****e style of play that they are welcoming the West Ham fans too.
Said many times on our board and repeat it constantly. Man didn't work a single wonder at Newcastle, he just conceded less goals than Pardew and did nothing more. The football was a disaster, anyone he signed that wasn't a defender failed to impress, he had the highest wages at the club, we often set ourselves up to lose games. The most horrible thing Rafa did and what made me hate him most was when he said we didn't have good enough players at the club. A team that could easily accomplish the level he got them finishing at, he did that to cover his ****ing arse. Nothing more. No wonder they all disliked the man. He absolutely hates football. I was all for supporting Bruce, defending him on even here on this board, and am so happy it's working out. As many people did expect it would.
Interesting. “ It’s working out.” Long way to go yet. He finished tenth at safc the first year with a 25 goal centre forward. Once the shine comes off, the long runs of no wins occur and the blame is anyone’s but Bruce’s to come.
Managerial stats: Rafa managed 1124 games, win % 49.7 Bruce managed 917 games, win % 39.4 Major Honours: Rafa La Liga 2001, 2003 UEFA CUP 2003 FA Cup 2005 UEFA Champions League 2004 UEFA Europa League 2012 Coppa Italia 2013 EFL Championship 2016 UEFA Manager of the year 2003, 2004 Bruce - Some runner ups. Yeah they're not comfortable reading if you want to argue whose been the most successful. I do agree that Rafa's style isn't exactly entertaining, but his target with us was to keep us in the Premiership and get knocked out of the cups early on. The club's investment in players reflected Ashley's targets. I see that this thread has absolutely nothing to do with your club, but I really can't blame you for seeking light relief. Most of us Mags can laugh our heads off at your plight, but many of us are thinking that you guys really have got to stop sinking much further.
Bet you if Bruce had the same opportunities that Rafa did his record would piss all over his. Rafa must have a world class publicist.
You're copying & pasting the trophy wins of a manager that have absolutely nothing to do with your club. It's only Newcastle supporters who do this ... .... which is really weird tbh. Will you be posting the same thing if he wins something in China or at West Ham?
